Actually the amount of antarctic ice isn't increasing its actually decreasing as well. The area it takes up however is increasing let me try to explain.As we all know Antarctica is a land mass so its ice is due to precipitation basically snow fall. Now slight temperature increases are causing this snow to melt which runs off the continent and into the water.This causes the sea water to have a lower salt content off the coast which expands the area in which sea water freezes. Simple science at workput a 3 glasses of water in your freezer put 1 tbsp salt in one 2 in the other and 3 in the 3rd and see what tempratures are needed to freeze them.

Just wanted to point out that while you seem to be enjoying using that phrase, about priests and believing, I would have to point this out:

Are you a climate scientist? Have you taken all the measurements and recorded all the data yourself?

Or do you "believe" in what you do because you read it or were told it by someone else?

A bit of the Pot and Kettle here, IMHO.

I guess you could say that my priest is better then their priest, or more people believe (there is that word again), but when looked at it sounds an awful lot like saying Christians are right because their is more of them........and of course they believe in what they are told or read.

Just something I've been observing in a lot of the Climate Change threads and find very interesting.

What they ARE DOING about what "they" think is global warming is not "cool" in my book. Aerosols...trying to fight mother nature? We can't win a battle that sustains something greater than ourselves. My opinion, I know... but .... from my pov and the research I have done for my own peace of mind there is nothing we can do except roll with the punches.

We are damned if we do and damned if we don't. The cycles come and go for a reason.

The sea ice doesn't change sea level at all since the ice is already affecting the ocean's level, just like ice cubes make your drink go higher up in the cup. It's the melting of Greenland and Antarctica that will cause the sea level rise.

How is making the Huge landmasses of Siberia and Canada more viable for habitation a bad thing if Man-Made global warming is occurring? The overall net gain of habitable land will increase.

We will not die as a species because of ANY global warming save the Sun going ballistic on us.

It's not going to make Canada and Siberia more habitable. The soil there is very poor and in many places is bare rock.

Sea levels could possibly rise by up to 200 feet in toto. This would put coastal regions under water, and turn low lying regions into inland seas, but it would not put us all under "hundreds of feet" of water.

Only a part of it, which is small compared to the rest of Antarctica. What they failed to tell you is how all the rest of Antarctica is growing.

Headlines from to-days update from 'climate depot' :- "most arctic ice in a decade, highest for the date since 2002', temperatures in the arctic are almost 5c below normal' ".
Another blow to 'consensus' science: Pacific islands growing, not sinking.
Alaska has coldest spring on record.
Atmospheric Methane has decreased.

Who said the world is flat in the 16th century? The ancient Greeks new is was round! (a globe) I think the guys name was Ariskoclease, or spelled similar.
