Judging from your comments I would trust them with an automatic weapon before I would trust you with a .22.

Ummm, hence, I don't own a weapon. Isn't that the responsible thing to do? I have clogged veins in the legs, making it so I have to stop and rest every hundred feet - hence, I gave up my driver's license because I don't trust my reflexes enough to hit the brakes in an emergency. Isn't that the responsible thing to do? Would you rather be around someone with a weapon and a driver's license that isn't responsible? I've had 58 years to get to know me, and to know my limitations.

The young pups you speak of haven't been put in enough situations for you to label them responsible in ALL situations. You don't know what they're going to do next. You can't know, because THEY don't know what they're going to next.

As for labeling all college kids (well, that's what they are to me, kids) irresponsible - I don't have to. What I have to convince you of is that not all of them are responsible. A LOT of college kids are pretty messed up, and that's all it takes. Messed up kids carrying weapons all day long, every day, in every class, at parties, in the dorms, at rallies

It is probably a good idea
to not own a weapon
expecially if you do not
trust yourself with one.

Correct.

It is probably not a good idea
for college kids to party all the time,
get totally plastered
put others through hazing
and speed around in cars.

But, that's what a lot of them do!

Add in guns, and someone gets dead.

An adult can do the same. Albeit it is less likely, but the possibility is there; and it's not a small one.

if college kids party all the time, how do any of them play the sports, or graduate?
sure they speed around in cars, i still do and I am fifty seven.
hazing others is traditional
people die from lots of misadventures.

Jesus is Lord and He can relieve all your fears.
