Melded to the chair,

can't move.

Feeling hard to bare,

please improve.

Torch blazing hot,

begins to loosen.

I am a Robot,

terrible confusion.

Get up now,

don't try to flee.

Take a rusty bow,

this isn't me.

Hollow inside.

Is this right?

Nowhere to hide,

full of fright.

Tries to step forward,

falls apart.

Is now cornered,

nowhere to start.

natalia, You've done it again. I just love to read your poems and other efforts here. As Tony the Tiger would say, "You're the g-r-e-a-t-e-s-t!" BTW, I love your new avatar...she's so pretty.
My lil angel looks a bit down trodden.
Lol.

Thanks Nat! It really makes one pause and think what would the mind of a robot think? What would its understanding be of its existence? Would it feel fear or concern for its safety? Now I will ponder for awhile!
Thanks again friend!

Thats awesome. For some reason I found myself imagining the robot reading this poem surrounded by his/her/its peers, all in tweeds and smoking large pipes full of magnesium instead of shag tobacco, and commenting on the deep nature of the words. Great job!

Nice work! We are all a little robotic sometimes, following the mantra of; wake, work, sleep, wake, work, sleep . . . repeat repeat repeat.

"Like my great uncle Alphonse always use to say, 'when you do t know where to start, go back to the beginning.'"
