Many awake in faith only to realize that they have enlisted in a spiritual war.
It is a war created by the flesh of our self: its desires, hopes, loves, and ego.

In treading the water of eternity,
we grow tired, and we may even begin to sink
and become enveloped by the great darkness.

It is hard work, but it is possible. You can do it.
We must completely rearrange our desires, hopes, loves,
and build an entirely new and holy ego.
----Not the "holier than thou" outlook but that of active charity. It requires realization that we must now teach by example, because "faith is dead without works."

Jesus can make us walk on water and stay upon it,
as long as our faith and trust rest upon (and cling to) Him.

Stay in His presence
and you will love heroically,
you will be holy,
and if you start to sink,
He will follow you into the darkness,
and bring you back out.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

If you have not joined the discipleship of Christ,
but you are considering following Him,
consider carefully and ardently
whether or not you are capable of
tearing down the old building, and to build another
in its place, without lacking any funds.

My inbox is open to anyone who may need help or someone to talk to regarding spirituality.

Why do you need a man made concept? One that is personal and different to each individual that embraces it?

You need something inside you. Not an external concept.

oh well..

I think you need to change the thread title to "I need Jesus".

It is external and internal. It is spiritual, and it is lovely.

I could never save myself, as I am surrounded by sin.

Jesus keeps me afloat.

Yes it is external, internal and harmonic. But the name Jesus is just a name you focus on. If Jesus is forgotten and the teaching is forgotten or cannot reach a soul, then god sends another and another and another. God will not give up to educate and give the possibility to reconnect with any soul. The oneness with god and all the messengers, christ conciousness, ego death, enlightment.

I could never save myself, as I am surrounded by sin. Jesus keeps me afloat.

I can relate to that. The love from the other side keeps me able to stand this place with it's dualities and shortsightedness.

Thank you for being. Without you everything would be different and lesser than what it should be.

Me too! (I am a Christian.) But beware--few people share our sympathies. Expect to get a lot of railing for this thread.

It is not the name that I focus on, but the Presence of God that is with me.

Jesus is the love of God, and if I have Him then I have the love of God, and my soul is perfected by it.

I would rather be lead through the shadowy paths that you speak of by God than go through them myself in pride, and for the wrong reasons.

Do not worry, because worrying is a sin.

I do not care about the opinions of others and their writing hands, but rather the state of their souls.

Peace, peace

Worrying is a sin? I know it's a waste of time, I know it's caused my prematurely graying hair and my digestive problems - but a sin?

I worry all the time. But I didn't think I was sinful in nature because I worry about others. Figured I was just making myself sick with all the worrying I do. So where in the bible does it say to worry about others and the state of the world is a sin?

I used to worry very much too, but that will do nothing for me.

I was even at the edge of going insane (and some think that I did), but then I felt like it was time to let go and let God.

By worrying, you are actually mistrusting God, you are mistrusting the love of He Who loves you. and worrying about other people will not help them, but pray for them, knowing that God loves them too, His will is perfect and He will see to them also.

I reeeeally, reeeeaalllly don't know what to do about the Christians. You have a belief in an absolute evil, yet refuse to do anything about any of "it" - but pray and wait on an external source, in hopes of salvation and redemption for your fence-sitting! Are you NUTS? Good men and women doing no-thing but claiming justification in another's misery based on your perceived differences in spirituality.

You think God gets down with this type of BS? HA.

How can people put any type of faith into a supposed 2000 year old son of an eternal being?

Honestly still doesn't make any sense.

What makes the Viking, Greek or Indian gods any different then Jesus?
In terms of validity they have about the same to me.

"We need Jesus so that we can sit on our hands and wait for someone else to fix the world for us."

"We need Jesus because we are sinners from the beginning and are not worthy of salvation."

"We need Jesus because getting up and doing something about the world is too much of a hassle."

We are the ones who should be responsible for taking action, not some guy who died and disappeared 2,000 years ago without a trace.

Don't you see that waiting for Jesus is exactly what has gotten us into this situation today?

Why intervene at all when it's all part of god's plan anyways? Doing something about it would be going against god's will, and we all know what happens when someone goes against god's will, hellfire for eternity. So why not just avoid that and continue to sit on our hands?

I bet the people who are doing this to the world love people like you, because they get to do whatever they want and you'll just continue to wait on Jesus to come back and do the fighting for you. How convenient for them, especially if Jesus ends up not coming back.

I am showing people that Jesus is with us in our struggles. We do not need to wait for Him because God is always with us and as long as we look to Him we will always do what is right.

Please read the post and do not just respond to the title, thank you.

You can call me and my faith foolish but I will still testify of God.

I am now serene and happy, and before I was restless and depressed.

Glory to God, He took my life from negative to positive.

It still doesn't make any sense to me why people who do not understand Christianity feel an obligation to comment what they think about it and make it seem truth. You judge what you do not know, it is unnecessary.
