Personally I have never suffered from depression but it may be because my mantra is very similar to the chorus of your song;

"My body tells me no but I won't quit
'Cause I want more 'cause I want more
My body tells me no but I won't quit
'Cause I want more 'cause I want more"

When things are going great for me, I see that as the space between obstacles.
One of the things that keeps me from getting depressed is "I want more".

Each moment is an opportunity to redefine existence.
The past is only good for realizing mistakes, once that happens, the past can be celebrated, no matter how painful or regretful.
