you know Obama wasn't quite right with his comments.

"Most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States,"

i seriously have to doubt that. they use military type weapons now. heck they even BUILD armored tank like vehicles to fight it out. it's likely at least some of the "military grade" weapons came from the states originally, yet did they come directly from the states? and where else do their weapons come from, shouldn't they bear some of the blame? admittedly they did get a goodly bunch of guns from the states through US government agencies ineptness (fast and furious).

"But at the same time, as I’ve said in the United States, I will continue to do everything in my power to pass common-sense reforms that keep guns out of the hands of criminals and dangerous people. That can save lives here in Mexico and back home in the United States. It’s the right thing to do,"

now how are his "reforms" on civilian guns going to keep military grade guns out of the hands of the cartels? i'm sure there are some civilian grade guns used, but for the most part the cartels can afford much better stuff, and need it against things like the "tank like" vehicles the cartel builds now days. the cartels are long since past "gang warfare" with any crappy weapon they can get. the cartels are basically now rebel military forces, that use military grade weapons.

this is just more posturing and trying to legitimize his gun control platform to the world. yet again he is making convenient use of problems to try to push his goals.

yes the US as well as MOST OF THE WORLD, has a lot to do with the whole cartel problem which translates into the Mexican gun violence problem. the US is NOT the only customers they have for "illegal drugs", the US is also not the only place where the cartel can sell "slaves".

the only part of the cartel problem which the US can actually bear all the blame is for the smuggling of illegal immigrants over the boarder. something which many citizens would like to see stopped but which the GOVERNMENT of which Obama is in charge of as well as those in charge in the past, REFUSE to deal with. in fact the currant administration seems to only want to ADD to the cartels power by legitimizing the illegal immigrants that the cartel smuggles in. so we can see how much Obama really wants to "fix" the problem and help end the violence. it is within his power to try to deal with the illegal immigrants and remove at least a part of the cartel's money and power base, but he chooses to INCREASE their power base instead. :shk:

The same people that control mexico also control the usa. People who think usa is above massive corruption because of the highest standard of living in the world are living in self-delusion. Illegal capitalism is what seperates the millionares from the billionares. Suit wearing "gangsters" with bow ties don't get suspected that often, white collar crime is rarely enforced and detention centers are rather few compared to maximum security facilities.

Gotta hate the hypocrisy, huh? But we tolerate either through ignorance or apathy!

Before there was guns ,what did everyone blame all the problems of the world on ? Religion, I suppose, its the other one .After they Ban guns, religion is next to get it, according to U.N plans ,then what will they go after ?

You do know the President accepted ALL responsibility, when he took the Job ?

The president isn't Jesus, when he takes the oath of office he doesn't take all the sins of the nation along with him. I suppose to you he is at fault for every mass murderer in the US, he's to blame for every child rapist, every bank robber, every con artist, every low life mugger.

Yes, he does bear responsibility for those in his administration, and their actions, so yes, he does have to bear responsibility for Fast and Furious.

But again, cartels had weapons before fast and furious. You all seem to be under the impression that the mexican drug cartels had no weapons before Holder botched a sting operation. Which is quite myopic.

The true blame for the mexican drug cartels ability to be so violent and so prevalent is the American public's demand for the products that these cartels supply.

If we the American people didn't buy the drug cartels products, they wouldn't have the money to buy weapons, wouldn't have the money to buy their armies, wouldn't be nearly as powerful as we the American drug cartel customers have made them.

Yes, the president does have responsibility, but so do the American people. Specifically the part of the American population that funds the drug cartels by buying their products.

It's not just America that purchases drugs that come from Mexico, it's the entire world. Plus, we grow a lot of our own here in the good old USA, and it's much better from what I hear.

Maybe if Obama and Holder were not selling automatic weapons to Baja drug cartels, they would not have so many citizens in Mexico being murdered on a daily basis?

The hypocrisy of the double talking, red china manchurian canidate, dunce in an empty suit named Obama is such a joke at this point that it has become old news cause there is always something more hypocritical to be revealed tomorrow.

The title should read 'Obama blames himself and Holder's policies of arming drug cartels for gun violence in Mexico'. Now that would be telling the truth, something the Madman Obama rarely ever does, cause he's a hand picked and groomed puppet.

I wonder if he informed all the Mexican Sheople about how they did just that, which was that they sold automatic weapons to Mexican drug cartels? If he didn't, then he's a liar. If he claims that he has no control over his appointed U.S Attorney General, then he's a liar as well. What a bunch of bottomfeeders. ~$heopleNation

Uh, No. El WrongO. He only claimed to be the son of God. I believe it's Obama who claims to be God. LMAO! Nah, actually he just wants to be, or believes himself to be a God.

This issue isn't about guns.....its about drugs and money.

It has nothing to do with 'Drugs'.

Drugs are simply the means by which to reach the desired end result:

Money? Yeah kinda, but more specifically: [color=FFA98F]Power & Control.

Do you mean like the British opium trade? Turn the chines into doped up drug head unable to resist?

Kinda, but not exactly. I just meant that the ultimate goal is to be at the top of the ladder.

The drug business is just one of the methods used for obtaining more money. Then that wealth is a large contributing factor towards achieving the ultimate goal of power & control.

...but of course since I'm broke and powerless, I may not know what I'm talking about.

PALM BEACH, Fla. – President Obama is sending secret, coded messages to Mexicans, letting citizens south of the border know that he agrees with their contention that much of the Southwestern U.S. rightfully belongs to Mexico, claims radio host Rush Limbaugh.
Last week, Obama addressed students at the Anthropology Museum in Mexico City, saying, “Our attitudes sometimes are trapped in old stereotypes. Some Americans only see the Mexico that is depicted in sensational headlines of violence and border crossings – and let’s admit it. Some Mexicans think that America disrespects Mexico, or thinks that America is trying to impose itself on Mexican sovereignty or just wants to wall ourselves off. And in both countries, such distortions create misunderstandings that make it harder for us to move forward together. So I’ve come to Mexico because I think it’s time for us to put the old mind-sets aside. It’s time to recognize new realities, including the impressive progress of today’s Mexico.”
Limbaugh says he was at first puzzled by Obama’s statement that America was imposing its sovereignty on Mexico, before it finally struck him.
“This sovereignty business, this is significant. This is not a throwaway. That’s a dog whistle,” he said.
“It’s a huge dog whistle to radicalized young Hispanic voters. What he did was send signals to that voting block beneath the radar, because most people not gonna understand what is sovereignty business. That block that’s underneath the radar – Telemundo, Univision – he’s telling them that he agrees with them that California should still be Mexico and that New Mexico should still be Mexico.”
Limbaugh indicated Obama counts on the mainstream of America not hearing or understanding what he’s saying in speeches meant for foreigners.
“But we just blew his cover decoding this,” he continued. “I won’t be surprised if we get some blowback on this. They’ll start calling me a bunch of names and accusing me of making things up or accusing me of harboring hate for all these people. Accusing me of, once again, Limbaugh goes off on an extreme tangent, expect something like that, because this is huge. There are radicalized Mexicans [who believe] California’s still theirs, particularly Southern California. Arizona, New Mexico, radicals. And Obama’s just fueled ‘em. He just told ‘em he agrees with ‘em.”
Limbaugh called the coded messages “a big deal,” adding:
He didn’t talk about Mexico immigration policy. He didn’t talk about Mexico’s need to reform its government, its socialist policies. He didn’t talk about how America helps Mexico financially. He didn’t talk about how we feed and clothe and educate and provide health care to even those from Mexico who are illegally in the United States. The sovereignty business, if you wanted to go to an extreme, you could almost say that Obama has it actually backwards, that it’s Mexico imposing its sovereignty on us. Because we are being made to feed, clothe, and house and provide health care for its citizens. Is Mexico doing that for American citizens? Huh! Try to go down there and become a Mexican. You can’t do it. Their immigration laws, you don’t even want to mess with it, folks. You do not want to mess with it. They do not play games with their immigration.
When has a president of the United States ever attacked America’s sovereignty? I think this is a first. I am not aware of any president ever attacking America’s sovereignty. And in coded language, which is what this was, he’s winking and nodding and dog whistling to the radicalized – not all of them – the radicalized Hispanics. (imitating Obama) “I get it, I get it, we should never have taken Mexico. It’s really yours. I get it, I get it. We’ve been mean. We’ve been imposing our way too long.” Time for a new mind-set.
In one final political dig, Limbaugh noted, “By the way, the warmonger president who took Mexico, James Polk, was a Democrat. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican.”
