I did a search and found nothing. I cannot believe this hasn't been posted yet because this is exactly the kind of thing many of the people here envision happening.

Source

According to a survey from Fairleigh Dickinson University, nearly a third of registered voters -- 29 percent -- believe an "armed revolution" might be necessary in the next few years in order to protect liberties.

Yes it's Fox News, but they didn't do the poll. They just seem to be the only MSM that is reporting it. I don't see an armed revolt happening on a large scale. However, I do see envision some serious civil unrest happening. I also think the DHS also fore sees something along those lines. Whch will exactly explain why they are arming themselves in the manner they currently are.

Is this poll still active? where's the link?

But yeah I see one too but it depends on our leaders, but here lately it seems they are doing everything they can to push people to the limit

One of three things happen after decades of being stepped on.

You succumb to the despair and become docile and numb.

You drop out.

You bite back.

Seeing as how dropping out is no longer an option thanks to the wonders of property taxation that reduces our options to two.

Give up or fight back.

Voting is nice and all but losing every election for 40+ years takes a toll.

I'd be curious to see the specific wording.

But there are alternatives.

Mass non compliance, stop filing and paying income taxes.

Break the 2-headed 1-Party stranglehold, vote Libertarian.

William Cooper (RIP) talked about it during the same show in which he made his 9/11 prediction.

It begins at 5:10 but the entire 6:29 is always a great listen. The goal, as he states, is not a revolution, but a restoration of constitutional government:

I couldnt' find a link to the poll, but I'm still looking.

I find it incredibly interesting that we have even got to the point of considering something like this to the point where it makes it to a poll. I think that alone speaks volumnes to the current state of affairs in our country.

I would like to meet these 29 percent who think that a lovely Syrian style civil war would be something they would enjoy. I wonder if they would prefer the complete loss of all their freedoms at the hands of whoever grabbed power in their neck of the woods, the mass starvation, complete economic collapse of not only the US but a good chunk of the world, and several generations of people fighting over whatever resources are left with other nations hopping in and taking whatever natural resources they want. I would guess these people have complete lack of historical knowledge, no common sense, low IQs or are a little crazy. Most likely a mix of all of them.

I find it interesting that people are ignoring this:

The most recent survey by Fairleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind was conducted by telephone from April 22 through April 28, 2013 using a randomly selected sample of 863 registered voters nationwide

Source

Yup. 29% of 863 people surely represents the entire voting population. Dear god. I could poll more people on my way home from work than this poll used as a sample size.

Oh and lets not forget this tidbit:

the survey finds that overal l, a quarter (25%) of Americans think that facts about the shootings at Sandy Hook elementary last year are being hidden and an additional eleven percent are unsure.

I assure you, 25% of the voting american population does NOT believe that.

Go ahead, follow my source link, has the questions asked, the methodology, all of it.

A sample size less than 1000? Sorry, not worth a dime. Oh, but it's done completely randomly and computer generated for random land line calls nationally.

I call shenanigans and I'd like to see ACTUAL demographics, was this an actual random national sample? Sure doesn't feel like it to me. In fact, it almost seems like maybe they polled Austin Texas exclusively.....

I used to think exactly as you do until I read more on the methodology/science of polls and sampling.

They have been found to be quite accurate despite the relatively low number of respondents.

Poll shows 29 percent of voters are armed terrorists.

29 % of Americans lack the ability to think for themselves or intelligently.

The problem is that people subconsciously are aware that their lives are pointless, they are useless, powerless, unoriginal, and quite pathetic. This is a growing awareness. People now want collapse, chaos, aliens, terrorism as to add some meaning or purpose to their lives.

Idiots buy guns and use them, others have to buy guns to protect from those idiots not knowing that they too have the tendencies of the idiot. So as you can see there are too many idiots. Too many people drink, own guns and have no purpose in life. they begin to form the delusion that big government is coming for there ultra important lives and snooping on there web-porn habits.

As you can see that the nation is paranoid and lacking understanding and true knowledge.

T3 Some people are hiding the truth about the school shooting at Sandy Hook
Elementary in order to advance a political agenda.

The same polls supposedly says that 50% of Americans are in favor of stronger gun regulations.

It is perhaps healthy to view these polls as pretty much what they are; fully commissioned designer attempts at manipulating public opinion. In this case, it would be either to legitimize the gagging of dissenting voices or simply frightening the hell out of people, all while ramming those gun controls through congress and down the throat of the nation.

Personally, I do not see one third of this country considering armed revolt, just as I am absolutely sure that the nation does not favor the federal government hammering away at the constitution. Even those I know on a personal level that detest what this administration has done and is trying to do to personal liberties, most (if not all) still see the ballot box as the tool to be used to dissuade the president and the radicals from his party from doing any more harm.

There was also another poll just a few days ago that suggested that the majority of Americans were ready to surrender some of their freedoms for more national security.

Talk about trying to mold public opinion!!

Considering how many Americans believe the sun revolves around the earth, Obama is a Muslim, that Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11 or don't believe in evolution, this is not surprising to me.

The sad truth is, Americans, as a group, are not all that bright.

More Americans can identify the Three Stooges than the three branches of government--you know, the ones who are jockeying over our welfare.

If one of those drunk, inconsequential idiots shoots and kills you, doesn't that just make you a dead person who thought they were smarter than the idiot? Or a martyr that can be used in the next news story?

True, revolutions are not a pretty business. So what alternative would you suggest? Continue the current march? Voting has got us nothing. Because most people vote for the lesser of two evils.

Just exactly 'how many' Americans are you considering to arrive at your conclusion? I am sure you have some figures to support such a position.

I would say this is pretty much world wide....not just limited to Americans. A few of the things stated in that article you linked to are related back to things taught as young children and fairy tales for some which are repeated over and over from a young age. Supreme Court Justices come and go and are not taught as part of childhood stories growing up trying to teach kids lessons.

While some points in the article are valid, others are not and I would venture to say the same applies in every country. Hell...why not poll all impoverished areas in the world and find out if they even know anything going on outside of their town/village....I would bet many wouldn't.
