Any exploration of consciousness is a trap... anyway, despite its apparent vastness and infinitude, it is actually limited, so step out of it and not into it. The universe, etc are all INSIDE you and not outside. So one is not swimming in consciousness, it is consciousness that is swimming within one. This is the reason for the spiritual tip - the Kingdom is within you. The key that unlocks that is none other than the mind. Watch it, understand it and it will yield its secrets. It is like watching one's own child - one has to do it with love, affection, giving it TOTAL, and UNREMITTING attention.

But we only have one life as we are now, to spend too much time on the internal universe we all share with introspection and various methods would be to waste the precious time we have here.

No, not sitting down and spending time with the internal universe as in meditation - it is just total attention to everything going on - within and without. One has to live it, integrate it into everything. Not doing this is actually wasting precious time. When you live like that, you will come to know things fast and easily, the universe will come to you and reveal its secrets.

Terrence is probably one of the most public counter culture icons of the 1980-2000's. He gave public talks daily, lectures and sometimes spoke for 12 hours a day. He hated authority, corporations, culture and industry.

You sure about that? Sure doesn't seem like he or his cohort were against corporations in the slightest in this trialogue. In fact, their grand idea was to apply to corporations such as IBM or wealthy individuals like Rockefeller to seek backing for the promotion of their "new world order" education system. They wanted to open up education to the free market, including corporations, but don't take it from me. Take it from McKenna himself.

I think that consciouss is information transfer between living species subconscious below what everyday awareness can even detect. It's a hierarchical field theory, we are the Earth children, peoples cells are part of their organs conscious field, just as organs are part of the bodies field of consciousness. Which although we are not conscious of (only our mind and brains) they run on similar subconscious processes we are not in control of.

Where did you get this concept?

And can you speak more about it and everything else, of pertinence, that you have tied into it?
