I am not the biggest supporter of PressTV ,but frankly i see nothing wrong with that. She did not do anything illegal and those things happened before she started working for Iranian media outlet with its conservative demands.
PressTV distorting truth,spreading lies and pushing Iranian government propaganda - bad.
PressTV hiring journalist that long ago led certain lifestyle - so what?

That really IS rich. I wonder how the average Iranian would feel about one of the faces representing their nation to the world?

Who cares if she was in adult entertainment and a party girl? So anyone who goes out to a party and drinks is a big-boozed party person? HAHAH. You really have NO understanding of the Islamic Faith or...pretty much any religion from a Believer's stand point, do you?

This would be like Vatican TV Hiring a former cult leader who didn't necessarily seek penance and forgiveness....just agreed not to mention that little bit about sacrificing things to the Pagan Gods before taking up the Holy See's Microphone for a news show.

I guess it's something requiring the outlook of a religious person on some level to get the record breaking level of hypocrisy. INSIDE the nation she is representing directly, she'd be stoned to death ...AT BEST ...for her previous choice of professions. ..and she really would be getting off easy for that to be all which happened to her.

Now...That may be wrong and horrible. Depends on people's perspective to the inner workings of another nation and culture. I stopped trying to make such judgments on how other nations run their internal affairs (Lest we be judged and they'd LOVE to judge US so meaningfully).

It's that PressTV literally *IS* the direct owned properly of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Not just a Newstainment channel based there. It's a literal part of the Iranian national Government's holdings and communication effort.

I think it may well be you that has no understanding of the Islamic faith.
If she's converted all sins are forgiven.
If she's observed all of Ramadam, all sins are forgiven.
If she's completed the Hajj all sins are forgiven.

Yeah.. whatever. That is not how I've had it explained to me by Devout Muslims. One of whom is a member....and I hope still okay, wherever she wound up in Bahrain ...on this very website. But, yeah.. I have no clue whatsoever. I often talk of things I have absolutely no clue of and just make things up as I go. Yup.. That's me.

By the way, have you seen the village films from rural Iran of women, buried to their chests, and stoned to death? It's not something I'd recommend for family viewing ...but everyone should be forced to watch at least one of them before saying how things are or aren't in that society. Again...without judgment made here. It is what it is and they might view an American execution as being worse, for what it's worth. It's just flat dishonest to suggest it isn't that way.
