Invisibility - wouldn't have to get dressed in the morning. Could lay back in the sun any old place I want to - naked again. And not have to worry about tripping over my own feet, could strut my way anywhere I want without being self conscious. Free, free, free. LIsten in on the boss's conversations, catch those rascally squirrels in my backyard and give them some loving pats and people watch without anyone realizing.

I'm thinking invisibility wins out of the options presented in the OP.

(Though I still say "stopping/jumping through time" is the preferred super power.)

Invisibility, for sho, if you had super speed that doesnt mean u would have super reactions, x ray vision would get boring, but to be invisible means you could steal from the one percent and give it to the poor

Hahahaha! Never thought of that. You'd be just running into crap left and right and suffer major brain trauma within minutes of getting your new "super" power.

super speed, that would involve being able to control it anywhere from 0 to lightspeed and beyond. reactions, thinking, actions all would increase in direct proportion to the speed. But aging would be normal if not slowed down. Why? I always wanted super speed, thats why.

Invisibility.

I could think of a few good reasons why but mentioning them here would most surely get me banned for breaching the T&C...

But on topic, I am probably one of the few old farts here that remember "The Invisible Man" with David McCallum back in the seventies. Was cool then would still be cool now !!!

The possibilities are endless !

Depends on your definition of super speed.

If you mean like "The Flash", then yeah, I'll pick this one.

Depending on the version, he could not only run faster than Superman, but think and react at light speed, had super endurance, and could even vibrate so fast as to move through walls (and conversely, fast enough to be invisible or see through things).

That's why all versions have also had super reactions, otherwise, they'd run into things, so not very super then....

I'll take super speed.

X-ray vision is completely limited by its own definition.

And just how invisible is the invisible power? In what spectrum? Would I have a heat signature?
would I still displace air? Not much of a suoer-power when regular, everyday, technology
can defeat it.

Nope I'll take super-speed. You can even limit my speed to the laws of physics and thermodynamics.
and I could still change the world for the better.

Super speed, because it will allow me to survive the bullets they will shoot at me when they realize I am now a mutant.

They can throw paint on an invisible person to reveal them, and x-ray vision offers limited defensive capabilities.

Super-speed would offer the most profound advantages.

If ever I had to use such power, it would be for the side of good of course.

That's why when you make wishes from the genie, you have to get all lawyer on them and create a thousand stipulations as part of the agreement.

You need to cover these bases before making the wish!

Actually, it would be super funny.

Would make a great "What if" themed comic taking away one aspect of each super hero to see what happens.

Not to mention, without the aura, Flash's clothes would burn off him every time he went for a jog.... You'd have to run everywhere in the buff....

Screw that...Teleportation....now THERE'S a superpower. While you're flying there, I'm already there (and back with a souvenir t-shirt).

That's the ONE power I'd really want, as the possibilities are endless. (not to mention the gas savings)

Of course, if a Genie was involved.....all the powers of Superman without his Kryptonite weakness or any other substitution weaknesses. Invulnerability, Super Strength, Super Speed, Intellect, Heat Vision, Chill Breath, etc., he's one unbalanced superhero. You'd be a God, quite literally.

Super speed. Invisibility is limited in that thermal vision can still spot you from a mile away, providing ample opportunity to pick you off with a sniper rifle, and x-ray vision gives you almost no strategic advantages unless you're smart enough to make do even without the x-ray vision. Only superspeed gives you distinct advantages in almost any situation. Hell, you might even learn to increase your molecular vibration to the point that no cell can hold you and no barrier can stop you.

Even without the added speculation, superspeed is clearly the most advantageous ability of the three options provided. Prove me wrong.

You could be invisible, but the objects you hold would not be. Invisibility can be turned on and off.

And super speed would NOT increase the aging process.

Good questions.

Well, say you had x-ray vision and were the unscrupulous type. Casinos would hate you...
