Kentucky, where children get their first guns even before they start school....????

Stephanie Sparks (the mother if you can call her that) said she paid little attention as her 5-year-old son played with the rifle he was given last year. Then, as she briefly stepped outside while cleaning the kitchen, "she heard the gun go off".

What do they breed down there in Kentucky? Morons? (reference to the parents here)

So what exactly is the law when it comes to guns and giving them to just older then a toddler little people? Wow. Is this normal in the US? Then she left the kid alone with it...loaded?!? I wish he had accidentally shot her...only to get rid of stupidity on this planet...when I say that, I am not taking into account that the child would be scarred for life...I just wish parents had to pass a test before having kids...she obviously would have failed.

Two different ones in different forums is allowed as far as I read the T & C's.

Edit: You should add a link to the original story though.

edit on 1-5-2013 by superman2012 because: (no reason given)

Was it a real gun or a BB or something similar?

it doesn't matter. The fact that a parent wasn't paying attention while a kid played with a rifle is grounds for child endangerment charges.

Children should ALWAYS be supervised while handling weapons, period.
