Besides which, you do have operators commit suicide. It's not something you hear about a lot, mainly because it isn't advertised. It's a very stressful job, with lots of opportunities to question what you're doing, a choppy awful family life and not a lot of people you can talk to safely. For officers, it's worse than for NCOs.

The ones at Pinal that died in the jump, that's also not that uncommon. You lose a steady number of operators doing jump training, some at Yuma, others at Pinal. At Yuma, you have all the operators doing part of their ramair and all of their night-jump training, at Pinal if you're a weird jump entry specialist doing HAHO or HALO that's where you train and practice. And you get people thumping in from time to time, usually SEALs since AFAIK a larger percentage of SEALs do HALO, whereas only specialty Army jump teams do that, only a small fraction of A teams do HALO, just like only a fraction do deep dive work. So you get a bigger percentage of SEALs doing really hazardous jump training.

At any rate, SEALs 'drop in' at the Pinal Golf Course from time to time. A few years back one popped his chute while tumbling, rolled up in the shroud lines and didn't cut loose in time to pop his reserve. At least that's the word on the circuit.

So all the reports about it being seal team 6 including in multiple books, newspapers, magazines and the recent movie zero dark thirty that was all bogus? I am flat out calling BS on this report unless he has been moved to a different unit. The article does not say that. It says he was commanding officer of seal team 4. I bet if you actually read any of the multiple books that had come out from seal team 6 members saying they were in fact the person who shot Osama you would see this guy was not 6's commanding officer. The CIA found Osama bin Laden and a member of JSOC took him out ( allegedly). If you happened to look at the videos of Osama between say 1996 and 2010 you could clearly see it was not the same person. Although the CIA authenticated almost all of them. The CIA also said Iraq had chemical weapons facilities and was working on Nuclear weapons all of which was hogwash. Don't believe all you read. Especially if it is from the GOP. Double especially it it was involving the CIA or JSOC. Admiral McRaven was a sketchy person( commander during supposed Bin Laden raid).. JSOC has a new commander now. That's what I get for reading an article "from your daily dose of conservatism". Our daily doses of conservatism got us into the two longest wars in US history and almost ruined the economy. Our daily dose allowed torture and rendition. It allowed prisoners to be kept at Guantanamo without charges indefinitely.

Seriously who the hell wrote such a sloppy untrue article? You call that a source?

He neither found or killed Osama. The combination of the NSA and CIA found him. Looking into your bogus thread. Price died in Dec of 2012. He was being investigated for Military corruption.

www.militarycorruption.com...

m.guardiannews.com...

No where in either article does it say anything about him finding. killing or having a thing to do with the BIn Laden raid.

Deny Ignorance. Change the thread title.

I'd like to see ATS pick that apart.

ATS just did.

Zaph and OSOTC are spot on, you just didn't like how quickly and what they had to say.

Bin Laden was killed by DEVGRU in 2011 according to some supposedly in the picture.
Bin Laden was killed at Tora Bora in 2001 according to some supposedly in the picture.
Bin Laden is living with Elvis and Jimmy Hoffa according to some supposedly in the picture.
See how easy that is? Say something random, attribute it to an anonymous but supposedly authoritative source, then dismiss every contrary theory, even the ones that do have named sources. Call it a "reality check."

No sailor spends his entire time in the seals on team 6.

They start on one of the other teams after hell week before joining team 6 two to 4 years later and will likely leave team 6 in a body bag, permittely injured or go to another seal team.
Many that leave the teams due to injuries if they stay in the navy and become EOD divers.

Seals and other SOF operators are human beings too. They have more mental stress on them than any other member of the military. They don't get to go home and say "God what a day." About the only people they get to talk to about a mission are their teammates that were probably there with them.

Talk about covering ones tracks. Something smells awful here. Coincidence? Possibly, but when there are so many coincidental dead people surrounding Obama and his administration one has to ask what the hell is going on here.

You can't blame Obama , it is the path he should walk that you should blame.

It is the same hall Bush was walking.

But maybe Obama left less blood on his trail.

Or they retire, do not reenlist, or transfer to other duty stations.

I question a lot of things within U.S. politics, Osama when he was a good guy:

And Osama after the Americans had decided he was no longer useful:

Some may even argue that the whole Osama wanted thing was fake and he was just the bad terrorist poster boy. All pure speculation on the Seals of course but suicide would seem like an easy way out if you knew it had all been a lie

Murder in order to silence may also sound reasonable, but all just speculation of course.

And then there's all the videos of seemingly different Osamas

EDIT (while I'm on the subject) There was also those conflicting news reports in which one MSM outlet described Osamas hideout as highly advanced, missile proof caverns, which kind of went against other news reports showing dusty caves, the kind you would expect to see in desert mountain passes.

Seriously. Benazir Bhutto also said on international television that he was murdered, and something like the next day she was dead. He's dead alright, but no American cowboys made that happen.

Actually, you generally don't tell your teammates you are having some thoughts about what you're doing.

Nor your captain, or the XO, or the team manager, or your senior.

What you save that for, is the chaplain back in garrison. The SOC chaplain is your main release. A bottle of booze, the chaplain, and a night free to lay out your thoughts on crap. If you go to the base shrink, it goes on your record and they call up your captain - it's a trap. Eating all of it is what leads to a lot of stress. The chaplain will also rat you out if you're going off the rails but not in the same way as the shrink.

There are two reasons why these people are not allowed to talk about their objectives. One: for their own safety. The other is political reasons. Very often it is not political correct what these teams are doing. This creates a problem with individuals who have a high personal moral standard.

There are two reasones why SOF training is very demanding. 1. You have a bunch of fit individuals, 2. who will do what it takes of them to fallow commands. Non of the individuals are equally fit, that is why selection is very demanding.

SOF is a team of very loyal individual who fallow command. That is why they have been selected. These people never do training that is immorral and unethical. It is set to be good against the bad.

When you are being fed political correct missions objectives. You dont have a moral problem to execute the orders, and you do the mission. Political correct information is not always the same as the truth of the matter. It is when you see th truth of what you have been apart of, some people have personal moral breakdowns.

If this happends over and over, some of these individuals with very high moral standard will start to question themselves if what they are doing is a good thing.

They start to question themselves if the SOF team they are apart of is used for the greater good.
It is very often it is these individuals who leak graded information to the public. This is what is really ment by: For your own safety. Dont tell or you will be in a world of problems.

This is true for some. But not everyone. Questions are very often raised after a mission within the team. The reaction within teammembers are often very different. Depending on how many missions some of them have been on. A succesfull conducted mission can be a great and joyfull experience for new commers. >But they dont always considder the whole scope of what they have been a part of. Their usuall focus is to be a good posetive teammember and want recognition from their team mates. These individuals are hardly ever very sympatic with the members who have a moral thought about what has been done.

I imagine this guy probably realized that all of the folks he has murdered were just everyday people and could not handle that weight on his shoulders, it happens.
At least it happened by his hands and he was not beaten by the enemy!

Maybe he just couldn't take another non-DA mission in a row. Or he got tired of environment rotations.

What is a enemy?

Terrorisem is not what people think it is. It is what people have been told it is. And you are just being sympatic.

Osama even wins after his death. May Allah reward him with the greatest level of Paradise.
Those stupid and blind followers of the American regime don't just get it, the fight against terror or should I call it the fight against Islam is fighting against the religion of Allah. Do you really want to take a fight with your Creator?

More soldiers die of suicide than from war? Maybe it indicates that you're there for all the wrong reasons and that your soldiers aren't capable of fighting a war. Why don't you get out of Iraq? Aghanistan? Mali? Somalia?
As long as you fight against Islam, you're doomed for destruction. That's what I believe and that's what I believe to be the truth.

You may have another opinion but I have no doubt it's wrong. Killing innocent people in foreign poor countries is nothing but inhumane and beastly. And beasts do not deserve or do not have a place among humans.
