Self adulation? He made a joke. So presidents can't be funny (or try to be funny) now either?

Being a joke, and making a joke are usually two different things.

In Obamas case, the same.

I cant tell ya how many times Bush felt this way.

Folks...Listen up. I will only say it once.

If you knew what had us all hostage and gripped with fear youd puke and then you'd die from shock.

Just a gddmned fact.

Goodby, couldn't say I was sorry to see you leave early - It meant you really were not attached to the power tripping many of us thought. I'll of course believe it when I see it as narcissism makes one say the craziest things.

Observation: Obama was a little bit miffed and exhausted by the statement by the reporter, but he should be fine. He only has to make it 1-2 more years, then he's probably going to retire, he's just hoping to make a big enough difference to last for a while, he probably expects a Republican to win next time or is indifferent, or might like a Democrat to win, but is just focused on finishing implementing his policies.

Maybe he should pack up and go home. I don't see anything good coming from his presidency. All I see him doing is attempting to pass crazy bills that would strip us of rights. If he can't handle America, he doesn't deserve to be president.

What happened to the times when presidents weren't afraid of hard questions, and actually put their heart and soul into their presidency? Though from what I see, those times are long gone.

"That was a lie what he had was a manipulated poll statistic in fact if he did have "majority public support" those bills would have passed."

Whoa, I don't know if you can call that a lie based on that. Since when has Congress been a fair representation of the people's will?

So which is it?
Is he hellbent on stripping you of all your rights?
Or is he someone who doesn't care and isn't trying?

I've seen this so often....He's a dictator and destroying this country!!! then in the next breath, He's not doing anything!!!

The last POTUS was blamed for things he messed up, not for the things he promised to do and didn't deliver on. None of his critics cared about what he promised to do, they cared about what he actually did, (or in some cases didn't do) that made this country decidedly worse off than it was before he took office.

But his time is over, there's no use blaming the previous president. Just like there's no use blaming this one for promises he has no authority in keeping. Blame Obama for the things he does have the authority to do something about and hasn't.

I WISH HE WOULD!!!!!!!!

www.csmonitor.com...

obviously... people with irrational dislike for someone will take everything they say seriously.

On the 100th day of his second term, President Obama laughed at the suggestion he may have run out of 'juice' for his agenda and expressed optimism on immigration reform.

In a hastily called press conference Tuesday morning, Mr. Obama laughed at a reporter’s suggestion that he may not have the “juice” to get the rest of his agenda through a divided Congress, after the defeat of a gun-control measure that had strong public backing and the president’s vocal support

That was a lie what he had was a manipulated poll statistic in fact if he did have "majority public support" those bills would have passed.

"he"? do you understand how the us government works? he has no control over passing bills until congress decides, and they rarely listen to the people until it starts biting them in the butt.
he didn't get them passed because half of congress stonewalls anything he supports solely because he supports it.

What a difference a few days, and a wholly different context, make. At last Saturday night’s black-tie White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Obama stepped to the podium to the rap tune “All I Do Is Win” and said, “Rush Limbaugh warned you about this – second term, baby.”

Typical self adulation that we have seen time and time agian, " oh yeah listen to how awesome Obama think he is!"

All talk no substance, and definitely no class.

this is nothing but manufactured outrage, relax and stop taking a joke so seriously.
oh wait, that irrational dislike again.. sorry i forgot that nothing the president does will ever satisfy you.

lol i'm not even going to bother pointing out that your claim is totally based on nothing but your imagination, and nothing else.
no point.

It will be interesting if Hilary becomes POTUS, not because I think she will do anything wonderful (Im firmly in the camp of there being no true party division at the top and whoever gets elected is who was allowed to be elected, or at the very least will simply be yet another puppet whilst the strings will be jerked about by those who really control the political world for the most part. Now, be that Elitist Bankers, Evilnaughty, MilitaryIndustrial and/or Corpratocricies I don't know for sure, and likely features input from them and more, but given the way politicians routinely lie about what they will do, never deliver on said promises and rarely face any sort of reprimand is proof enough of this. The fact that most people don't even expect them to deliver on their promises anymore speaks volumes on how asleep the people are, and undoubtedly is the main meter by which the Controlling String Pullers gauge how much they can get by with. It's pretty much a sickening joke, sickening in that many people still believe there are official and honest ways to routinely get things accomplished whilst the rest simply don't care or have any concept of what it all means anyway.

But back to my opening line- if Hilary would run and get elected, it will be an interesting confirmation as at least some of those who are reportedly former insiders (be it those who have decided to change teams or even the elitist version of slaves) said that Hilary was being groomed to be the next Pres after Bush. I figured "They" went with Obama as their minority candidate instead of a woman, but its interesting to see what has transpired...surely Hilary would have been right on top of the gun control, agenda given her stance on such things.

I figured we'd have the obligatory flip flop back to a republican to maintain the all important illusion that voters have any sway over who is elected and in control, and also to maintain the also all important division of the masses (us against them, dems vers repubs, gun freedom vs gunelimination, etc etc). Keep pushing the issues and keep everyone mad at one another and always wondering how on earth their fellow Americans could feel and believe so differently, all the while slipping more and more into the background "legally" while the people who should notice are busy arguing about things that would otherwise be points of reasonable discussion instead of red faced screaming matches to deflect attention.

Of course no one controls everything, but they sure are trying. :-)

I am just glad Obama won and NOT romney. It was like choosing between a tarantula and a rattlesnake. With a tarantula people have a better chance of survival than with a rattlesnake. As long as the Federal Reserve keeps lending money to the banks and big business both america and the world are screwed.

The bankers are above government and keep plotting false flag terrorism wether it be financial, meteoroglical, bombs going off, spreading diseases, destabilising the middle east, etc.

People are going to have to dig deep and vote third party next election, assuming we even make it that far. Gary Johnson has pledged to abolish the IRS and replace it all with a federal consumption tax. Get the bankers out of government, close many of the military bases overseas to save money(which is an enormous waste anyway), cut down on entitlement programs, and free trade which I don't quite like.

Constitution party is best choice of all. Whats his name said he was against the patriot act, ndaa, dhs, etc. How many mainstream politicians dare attack the DHS gestapo? Not many! We need brave people from here on out, the cowards stay home.

I think you forgot Dick Nixon. Up and quit too as I recall. That was two in a row for the U.S., and most of the other ones should have called it a day as well.

I could never forget Tricky Dick. Never. Ever.

But like everyone else, including presidents, dictators and political gurus (Kissinger as an example) there is a time and place.

My apologies if I missed one, lol.

I am somewhat concerned that the people of the US, and particularly the congress and senate of the US believe that a stymied leadership is good news. I think it is pretty nearsighted in fact, although historically speaking, the US government over the years has proven to be utterly incapable of anything that resembles forward planning, so I suppose it should be no suprise that people believe that a presidency that cannot operate to a satisfactory degree is a good thing.

I am aware of course that I am not from the states, but I would like to offer my objective view of what is happening at the moment. First of all, it seems as if Obama's being unable to get his bills through, and getting roadblocked by his own party is being hailed as a triumph in some circles. If the intention of this is to make the USA appear to be ineffectual, pathetic, legislatively mute, and utterly incapable of managing anything more complicated than a total balls up, then its time to get the flags out and wave them with utter glee.

While the shortsighted morons who are enjoying this state of affairs drink thier celebratory budwiesers and grasp at thier crotches in anticipation of the latest headline denouncing the President, the nation just looks more ridiculous. It does the USA as a whole no good for Obama to be as pinned down by matters as he is.

Furthermore, I have to say that the ONLY thing I have seen, that Obama caught flak for from his party and the other side, which was DESERVED, was the issue over gun laws. It is ridiculous to blacklist certain firearms, limit ammo purchases any further, or indeed to reduce the effectiveness of a persons ability to defend thier home, take part in sports shooting, or indeed just indulge thier second ammendment rights. I say this because I LIVE in a nation which has allowed its right to bear arms to be erroded without the consent of an informed populus.

But his "socialist" policies? First of all, NO ONE in the USA would know a truely socialist ideal if it grabbed them by the neck and stuck a foot of cold steel through thier sternums while looking right in thier eyes. The USA would benifit from a little less greed, and a little more community. It would benifit from people of all classes and backgrounds having the SAME access to healthcare, regardless of thier ability to pay for it. It would BENIFIT from having a government which is prepared to stand up for, protect, and enable those who have been unable to get along in life because of where they were born, who thier parents are.

People who advocate a responsible government, one which supports the poor as well as the rich, are called liberals, hippies, bleeding hearts. Realistically, these are people who have simply retained the compassion lost by others, people with big enough nuts to look thier own greed in the face and BEAT it thoroughly enough that it does not dictate thier every action.

They are tarred with a brush that should never have touched them, by those who have such shame over the results of thier own greed, that they cannot abide the thought that anyone could do a better job of managing thier basest instincts, because to accept such a thing would mean they would be unable to hide from thier own intellectual and ethical inadequacies.

The hell with em.

Extremist capitalism is as bad for a nation as extremist anything else. Extremist Muslims, Christians, communists, ecological protestors, none of these things are helpful. But a measured approach which neither over states the usefulness of capitalism, nor over endorses social responsibility? Much better than the sociopathic IDIOCY of previous administrations. The timewasters in the US senate and congress ought to be bloody ashamed of themselves, as should the mindless apes cheeering for them.
