I thought everyone knew those magazines were BS??
On a side note, how do you REALLY know what you've learned is correct, and what's in those magazines is wrong?

Yes, how many people post on this site regularly, complaining about certain media outlets (MSM) being untrustworthy, yet they have no idea if what they are being fed by their 'trusted sites' is accurate?

All the Enquirer magazines and those gossip rags like it, have on the front page some kind of WRONG facts about the Boston bombing.
The National Enquirer was created by Generoso Pope, Jr, who worked for the CIA‘s psychological warfare unit. crazyfacts.com...
Pope grew estranged from his family after his father's death in 1950, and after a quick stint as an intelligence officer for the CIA, he purchased the National Enquirer for $75,000 in 1952 -- with financial help from mobster Frank Costello. articles.latimes.com...
Starting in the early days of the Cold War (late 40's), the CIA began a secret project called Operation Mockingbird, with the intent of buying influence behind the scenes at major media outlets and putting reporters on the CIA payroll, which has proven to be a stunning ongoing success.
The CIA effort to recruit American news organizations and journalists to become spies and disseminators of propaganda, was headed up by Frank Wisner, Allen Dulles, Richard Helms, and Philip Graham (publisher of The Washington Post). Wisner had taken Graham under his wing to direct the program code-named Operation Mockingbird and both have presumably committed suicide. The CIA Keeps Journalists as Assets
...the murky alliance of Mafia money and vague C.I.A. connections has fed a lot of conspiracy theories over the decades regarding the tabloid’s possible role as a sewage outlet for disinformation and influence peddling. Vanity Fair

People don't read tabloid magazines for 'News'.
They are read for entertainment.

Waiting in line. And you know what that is like? You are surrounded by candy bars, mints, gum, and magazines. Right?
All the Enquirer magazines and those gossip rags like it, have on the front page some kind of WRONG facts about the Boston bombing. With, of course, the caveat about having to look inside to find the real deal. You know how those magazines are.
And it got me to thinking...Jeez this is how a lot of people get their information. I mean, I guess there are some that watch CNN or the 6:00 news, but for reals, people raising families are cooking dinner, checking homework, and yelling at their kids about that hour. I doubt if they are still awake for the 11:00 broadcast.
It is no wonder that everyone is so uninformed and DISINFORMED, Busy, exhausted people picking up dinner at the market on their way home from work and catch these headlines while they are waiting in line. They don't have the time or the energy or even the gumption to investigate further.
Just giving you a perspective on the working family with school kids.
