Americans fear government more than terror

www.wnd.com

According to a pair of recent polls, for the first time since the 9/11 terrorist hijackings, Americans are more fearful their government will abuse constitutional liberties than fail to keep its citizens safe.

Bucking the trend, 51 percent of Democrats responded they would give up personal freedom to reduce the threat of terror, compared to 36 percent opposed.
Forty-seven percent of Republicans, on the other hand, opposed giving up freedoms, compared to only 43 percent in favor.

First of all, there's one of the problems glaring us right in the face right now in regards to, " 51% of democrats and 47% of republications"

If we keep dividing each other which most of us know is/was done by design....TPTB needed a way to keep the American Public fighting amongst ourselves which, w/out a doubt, keeps us as divided as we can be right now so we won't notice the corruption they've been dipping into since day one.

I have been fearing my Government since the day G. bush Jr. Who, was allowed, to steal the election back in 2000 and 2004. If people are allowed to blatantly steal an election right in front of our faces w/ the majority of the American Public-screaming for the votes to be counted again, but yet a Court is allowed to over-turn our wants, then it doesn't sound like our Government is " For the People, by the People." This is the day, the day our Election was stolen from us that I began to fear my Government.

Since that year I have learned it doesn't matter who you vote for because either side plays the same Agenda. The only difference is whose friends will benefit faster from entitlements/ pork.

Back 2000 I managed a huge Manufacturing Co. In N. Carolina. Back then certain phone Co's still had a monopoly in certain area's. In my area we were getting ripped off big time by Sprint. I don't remember the particulars of the complaint I had on Sprint however; What it boiled down to was that I had Sprint for local and they were pulling huge amounts of crap w/ our Company bill, ssssoooooo I did the only thing I could do, I dropped Sprint Long Distance. Well,----

Every 3-4 wks or so I would magically get bumped backed to Sprint long distance. Sprint was illegally putting a request in to my current long distance and getting me switched back too their serive. I called my Attorney because obviously they were out & out stealing from me. There is absolutley no difference if I were to walk into Macy's and steal a pair of jeans. Although my Attorney agree'd w/ me he said Sprint was much to big for me to fight. I had to put up with it....I was left w/ NO OPTIONS.

That's how I feel w/ my current Government now. I feel as if I have no voice, no OPTIONS.I have seen a majority of my fellow Americans vote on something or complain about it and nothing is done. In fact we're threatened. That's why we vote. It gives us options. But again...not anymore.

An Example: George Bush Jr. for President. The majority of my fellow Americans wanted ALL those votes into question re-counted. We were shut down and shut down hard!!! Back in 2000, same deal. Voter fraud. Which has been going on for years. That's how the puppet masters get their puppet in.

Another Example: George Bush Jr./ Obama along w/ co-defendants not only shut down the American Public but the White House Phone lines as well. The bail-out/ collapse was happening and we told Washington NO!!!! The majority of the American public did not agree to bailing any of these Corp/banks out. Congress was also threatened with Congressional Marshal Law if they did not comply or approve of the bail-out.

Another Example: What's being sprayed in our skies that's making a lot of people sick???

I could give more examples however; I feel these few will give an accurate description of what I'm talking about.

With that said....I go back to fearing my Government. If they won't listen to what the American Public has to say, then that leads us down one road, and that's a dictatorship. As the old saying goes...if it looks, walks and smells like a duck....it's Washington!! (lol)

Washington is not suppose to work that way. Washington is suppose to be the voice of the American Public. Washington is suppose to be the American public. Hell, I don't want them speaking for me. They have to many people beyond our borders that want to kill us due to the policies of the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama administration.

Yes, I fear my Government...they refuse to listen and they've turned this once great Country into a dictatorship and killers of innocent Men, Women and children.

Of course we fear our own government more. They have the bigger, better weapons. And they aren't afraid to use them...

"A people shouldn't fear it's government, a government should fear it's people."

You must fear your government for one reason......What happened in Germany could happen to you..

First thay came for the communist's,
And i didn't speak out because i wasn't a communist,

Then they came for Socialists,
And i didn't speak out, because i wasn't a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionist's,
And i didn't speak out, because i wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for me,
And there was no left to speak for me...

This poll is a loaded question.

Basically people are saying they fear the government more than... a fabrication from the government.

Might as well asked the people if they feared God more than the devil.

People need to be woken up to the fact that they are no longer the "government of the united states of America"
In 1871 theY incorporated to become U.S. Government Inc. They are, since then, a corporation in the business of turning humans into capital in order to transfer your wealth (labor) to the share holders, of which your not one. Unless you are a member of the federal reserve bank.

They have seperated themselves from us and really owe us no alligence at all, and this goes right down to the town you live in. Thats why when barry says the deficit is no big deal he means it. USGinc DOESN"T own it we do. WE owe the money. The U.S.Government inc. is filthy rich. Allof that money in the stock market is thier money. Look at what they own, pretty much everything. They through word magic (legalese) stole everything!

Voteing will NEVER help!!! All you are doing is putting someone else into office, on all levels, who is not and never will be beholden to you. They legaly are bound to do what is good for the "company" which from the looks of it is kill most of us.
Sad thing is thier hireing.

First I was a democrat cause I thought they'ed help the poor.

Then I was a republican 'cause i thought they'ed fix the economy

Then I was a libertarian 'cause I thought they wanted freedom

Then I joined the green party cause i thought they would save the environment

Then I joined the socialist party but had nothing left to give

Then I joined the communist party but couldn't pull my wieght.

Then i joined the rainbow and didn't fit in

Now, apparently, through no choice of my own I belong to the " middle aged white terrorist group" waitng for the gubbermint to come and kill me for not giveing them the tool I choose to protect myself and my family yet.

I haven't been informed when the first 'mawtg' meeting will be held so if any one has any info please pass it along to the fbi so they can be sure to get thier snake in the door early. thank you.

Our government and it's media is terror. They're both insanely out of control because they're
both possessions of insanely out of control people. Whom have been in control for millennia.
Stop using their money and stop voting.

Give it a little time and watch. Dems will be more fearful of the Gov, that 51% is just about to go belly up. Also I bet if the polls would have asked, the Dems are more aware than the Reps that our Gov is bought and paid for by Big Business, they've just held onto hope a little bit more, because they believe in Democracy. Just IMHO.

One thing I've noticed in the last couple of years is that people who I haven't even dreamed of talking to about the important stuff have started to spout it out to me recently. An amazing thing also is that they seem to be picking up on the stuff at a much faster pace. Where as it took me years to put the pieces together, it seems that the puzzle is already almost complete for the stragglers to pick up on it. Conspiracy is becoming trendy. I would forecast that most of the stuff that we here have known and researched for years will become mainstream very soon. It will follow in the steps of the 'organic' trend.

What's with the government's apparent love for the number 47? It pops up in pretty much every national poll and election I've seen.

Anyway, as I personally suspect that significant terrorism attacks are orchestrated by the government itself, the matter is tightly circular. Strike terror into the populace to get it to be okay with having less freedom, and voila, the leaders have more control.

Besides, the idea that being more tightly bound will prevent the possibility of being hurt is an illusion.

You know what I hate most about that quote? People always leave out the second half. Jesus did say "render unto Caesar that which is Caesars," but he immediately followed it with "and render unto God that which is God's." If people would remember the second half and do half as much of that as the do the former, this would be a better country. Hell, it would be a better world.

I agree with a lot of what you say but telling people not to vote will not fix anything. It is antithetical to democracy as well. People need to do much more research when it comes to political parties/candidates and what it each stands for.

The democrats and republicans had plenty of chances to correct things and each and every time they have failed. Common sense should tell the voters to vote differently. You can't say the pizza is lousy unless you first try it.

Just to give an example Gary Johnson has repeatedly said he wants to abolish the IRS and replace it with a consumption tax. Close down many of our foreign military bases. I don't agree with his antisocial welfare state but that is a relatively small price to pay if we can save ourselves from WW3 and financial bankruptcy.

I like the constitution party but it is the fifth biggest party rather than the third biggest party. If LP makes it into the big arena then chances are good that the greens will climb and then the constitutionalists and the independants as well.

The only alternative is a bloody revolution against a combined UN/USA force. I don't think USA will go down as easy as libya, tunisia, egypt, etc. Not something to look forward unless really absolutely necessary. Best to go with the easier options first.

Terrorism is only real in the sense that it exists. Brown recluse spiders exist too, their bite causes horrible necrotic wounds and sometimes death yet I don't live my life in fear of being bitten because cold hard statistics tell me that the chance of that happening does not warrant any changes in my daily life or behavior. Much like terrorism.

When I was in my early 20s I got bit by a brown recluse spider. I wouldn't give up one inch of freedom to be protected from them, so-called "terrorists" even less than that! I truly don't understand anyone being willing to give up any of their freedom in exchange for ANYTHING! The Federal Government, in cahoots with the MSM, has turned a huge chunk of the American public into a bunch of "Chicken Littles".

I definitely fear government overreach more than any terrorist.

One of the defining statements by war Hawks and even some Doves after 9-11 is " They hate us for our freedom." If that statement is true, then those that seek to affect us with terror acts are winning. We are much less free today than we were September 10, 2001.The only freedom we have that those most likely to send one of their kids with a bomb strapped to them to hate us that deeply is our freedom to criticize their prophet freely. Otherwise, they mainly hate us for our foreign policy over the past half century.

There is a group that "hates us for our freedom" they reside in the corridors of power on the left and right.

Terrorists are created in the first place from the inaction or action of a government in power.

American terrorists will be an inevitability if the government doesn't change in some form.

The external terrorist threat is due to the foreign policy of the nation.

Both threats are credible, 1 is instantaneous, the other occurs over a much longer period of time.

A child without adequate supervision will do as they wish, stretching boundaries of rules as far as they are allowed. A government without adequate supervision will take freedoms from citizens willing to loose them in the name of safety. The problem with the government is that they control your safety and they can choose to remove it, or make it seem like you don't have enough of it. If they do so, some people will in turn give up some freedoms. Then, the government has control of not only your safety, but your freedom also. And...it is in their best interest to take your freedom, using your safety as the tool. And by best interest, I am referring to their continued employment, pay and power.

So...yes...of course government is making you feel less safe. They want your freedom taken away and given to them to distribute. How better to give their voters rewards while punishing those who oppose them.

But we all knew that...right?

Think about the history of war. Normally it has been waged by one country, or a group of countries against a different country or different groups of countries. It is ALWAYS very profitable for those who manufacture the tools of war and for the winners, not so profitable for the losers. The danger in unleasing war is that your enemies can gang up against you or fight covertly by aiding your engaged enemy as we did to the Russians with Bin Laden when THEY were occupying Afghanistan, for example.

Our government has finally come up with a plan and has launched a war (Against Terror), where they don't even have to leave home or occupy foreign lands to wage it! War on Terror (or on the American People), stay home, fight a much less armed enemy (us) and heck, we even get to PAY FOR IT! No enemy can aid us and we are unorganized and poorly equipped especially after a gun grab, so victory is guaranteed! And as an added bonus, it will help cut down on the surplus population, as old Ebeneezer himself might say. Yes good old American ingenuity at it's finest, going boldy where no tyrant has gone before.
