Israeli settlers poison Palestinians water well

Villagers in the South Hills of Hebron-Al Khalil were attacked by Israeli settlers from a nearby settlement when they poured a toxic poison into their water well.


A shepherd in the village of Yatta noted a foul smell coming from the local well and called the police to investigate. The police found a toxic substance and advised the villagers against using it for drinking water or for irrigating the farm because it would likely cause serious illness or death.

And the west keeps supporting Israel.

If they did it would be stupid. If you dump poison into a well it doesn't stop at the well itself, it would make it's way into the water table and possibly contaminate the water source for the surrounding, neighboring settlements as well (including their own) depending on how much of the toxic substance was used. If very little was used it would eventually be diluted but if a very large amount was used it would take longer to dilute and they could essentially be poisoning themselves as well as the intended victims.

The reason why the settlers did this should be clear to everyone. Hamas was building missiles in the well. The settlers were only defending themselves.

Not sure how factual this is. The region has a limited supply of subterranean water and to poison one village could corrupt the water in many, including both Israelis and Palestinians.

Of course, for political PR... it's a helluva story.

Would you unquestioningly believe the report, if an American news network reported it? Why?

I feel that it's just as likely that the natives poisoned their own well as a publicity stunt.

There's just no way of knowing. Both sides hate the other so much, who knows what either are capable of oing.

The Israeli Settlers are as often a threat to the IDF as they are the Palestinians. Operation Price Tag is what they call their little war against what amounts to ALL sides who don't love them enough. It's a pretty sick thing but the Settlers are every bit as extreme .....in SOME instances and places... as any of the Palestinians.

That's not all of them and I want to be fair on that but after Gaza and the forced clearing of Jewish Settlements to try and make peace (Yeah..that worked out well ) the Settlers took that "never again" attitude toward the Israeli Central Government as well as everyone else. A pretty messy thing all the way around, IMO.

There is a water well with foul smelling water near Palestinian village. Palestinian authorities say that there is toxin inside but do not know what this toxin actually is.
Those are facts. All the rest - is not. However it is enough for the following:

Where is tiny bit of proof that settlers did it? And you wonder that people question PressTV as a valid source?
EDIT:
Plus, the claim is that the well is poisoned Friday night. Settlers in that area are religious ,Friday night is Shabath - so they could not have used a flashlight or night vision aid. Nor could they carry heavy stuff out of the settlement borders due to religious reasons.
