From the OP.

In January of 2012, his twin brother's girlfriend (Gelareh Bagherzadeh) was killed in her driveway after leaving their home.

During this time, Gelareh had converted from Islam to Christianity and she claimed she'd received several threatening phone calls from Coty's father-in-law.

Muhammad made it clear in the Hadith that the penalty for leaving Islam was death.

To state that the Koran says nothing about honor killings is very misleading. All Muslims are aware that Muhammad stated in the Hadith that people who leave Islam should be killed.

Honour killings refer to a member of the family being killed by another for committing an action that "dishonours" the family. I don't know of Islam approving honour killings. I would be grateful if you can show it to be otherwise.

Quite a few Muslims do believe that the punishment for apostasy is death. However such a punishment is to be enforced by the lawful authority, not individuals.

Admittedly I skimmed this

Could you post the police report ? Or the autopsy report, or a news paper clipping ?
It should be a matter of national record

Here is a pretty chilling post from him speaking of the murder of his sister in law.

My brother's girlfriend was shot and killed in January. My car was stolen from my driveway in January. When my wife left home her crazy religious father reported all kinds of crap(all untrue) and then some how managed to run up 30k in credit card debt. This is after he was claiming she was kidnapped etc. What do all of these cases have in common? Not only were police not there to stop any of it but even with the evidence they have they still have done nothing. Moral of the story: take responsibility for you, your families, and properties safety.

Godspeed fellow brother, RIP.
I will think hard on this subject, I can't explain it but when I think of "certain things" on a subject, it somehow comes to light in the very near future.
Its senseless killings like this in the name of religion that degrades an fractures society. Justice will prevail in the end, because no matter how dark it is, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Haven't posted for a while, everything lately has been too contrived and self indulgent to bother. But this is something that we need to take care of.

ATS is a family. We're a group of like-minded people who care about our world, about others and about doing the right thing. I have read many of the replies and, short of offering your condolences, most of you are not saying much at all. We need to actually DO SOMETHING.

This kind of thing is becoming increasingly common in the U.S. as well as in Canada where we hear reports of suspected "honour killings" occurring at least once a year (that we know of). The real number is most likely much higher.

So come on guys. Let's actually do something. This piece of sh** killed all these people, and got away with it scott-free. If they are not currently investigating this case, we need to get them to reopen it. People have petitioned and rallied and protested to get this exact thing many times in the past. And if the case IS still open, we need to share whatever information we can with the police and get this guy behind bars before he kills someone else.

As MysteriousMysteries said, ^this^ is NOT OK!!! Not only do the person/persons responsible need to be held accountable & justice served - but law enforcement that SEEMINGLY allowed things to progress to the point of THREE MURDERS - law enforcement has to be held accountable as well!!!

His words are chilling & make it that much more heartbreaking!

God speed JUSTICE for Coty!!!!

I agree. By the sounds of the post the father is a very crazy person. Coty says the father told him she was kidnapped, and made up "untrue" allegations. I wonder if the police have looked into this man, or if they did, did his money clear his name?

GOD BLESS OUR BROTHER AND MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON HIS SOUL.

to all ATS members... even the spies and trollz.... we are here.. in this vast space... in the middle of nowhere.
every one thats in this community, from across the planet.....YOU AND THIS INTERACTION... IS ALL A MIRACLE....

and our dear brother is now contributing and making this miracle happen....

im soo sad... but very blessed that this person wrote the op
i often wondered what happened to certain members....thank you op for letting us know

NOW LETS DO OUR THING FOR OUR BRO!

ok

as for the case...honour killings do not happen in this way
no muslim does honour killings on a son...mostly stray daughters..

i was thinking about the location and the father in law
but my alarm bells started ringing when you said that the woman converted to christianity

though the father wouldnt kill the husband... he would kill his daughter

but thats all BS... muslims in the west do not practie these old, cultural, traditonal, tribal systems.
get this brainwashed islam hate out of your head... its clouding your judgement

i will tell you now... 100%

the girl wasnt drugged and sent back

and if her father killed her husband...as part of religous muslim beliefs
she would know...without a doubt
he would of told her...

and he would of warned the husband

its their protocol

though i will say he might of paid someone... or it might be someone younger.. not an older traditional person

peace and god bless our fallen brother

Originally posted by infiniteobserver ... Funny story, same thing happened to me. I have no criminal or military record. I was able to purchase a shotgun, 9mm, and AK-47 within about a 6 month period. When I decided on a good .22 for WSHTF hunting I got flagged and had to wait. The whole thing is just very frustrating though. Bad guys don't fill out forms.

Also as far as owning guns go. My dad has been a hunter since I was young. My neighbor owns over hundred(or so he claims, it's certainly a lot). I myself have owned for couple of years. None of us have ever had an accident or had to use in defense.

**My brother's girlfriend was shot and killed in January**.

**(Ironic) Moral of the story: take responsibility for you, your families, and properties safety**

(post modifications performed by me to highlight certain telling and ironic aspects of the quote)

A pro gun advocate, Coty boasts about never being in a position of using a weapon in self defence. On the surface, this appears to show the murderer may have been someone Coty was most definitely aquainted with, and probably even close friends or family - It seems he definitely knew this person and had some level of trust for them. This could potentially be a flag to suspect either his neighbor (which he claimed owned more than 100 fire-arms), his father-in-law, the family of his brother's girlfriend, and maybe even the twin brother himself.

I suppose it could even be more than one murder suspect. Maybe the family of his twin brother's girlfriend and his father-in-law collaborated in the dual murder. Maybe not, but it's worth considering, if only to completely rule it out.

Coty Beavers aka infiniteobserver, Rest in Peace

Damnit man........ I don't have any words to say in a situation like this.........I will do everything I am able to help sift through data, and see if I might in some small way be able to contribute to helping to find out the truth behind his tragic end.

I remember reading a couple of his posts, it pains me to know his words remain, but the man behind those words is no longer with us.

R.I.P. InfiniteObserver, may you and your lovely woman find the peace in the next world you were denied in this one........
