could this Bible mentioned be something in the way of an old family bible?
by that i mean someones personal Bible that they have had certain rememberences bound into?

AND it's the actual alter bible used in ceremonies.

you know this How? do you have documents attesting to this? with verifiable
signatures and accompianing documents?

Well, in my lodge, the candidate is actually obligated on the bible that is later presented to him, and the members and officers in attendance sign it then and there, prior to handing it to him.

Further, it is my practice to page mark the bible to the spot where it was opened for him before taking the obligation.

I used both my grandfather's bible AND the Heirloom bible they were to present to me, though I did not know it ahead of time.

lol.. no stalkingwolf, I do not have "verifiable signatures and accompianing documents" what i have is a book filled with ritual/ceremonies (with explicit instructions) that refer to the book as an alter bible. (ie. "...behold this Great Light...facing to the east and placed upon the alter to which... and the initiate shall come forth and lay...)

Call it what you will. I assumed it was because it refrences itself so. There is also 3 sheets of loose parchment with hand written (script) text and (dare I say.. what apears to be a "map" or "blueprint" of some sort.

This writing is not legiable to me. But then again, I have only had this book for 3 weeks and have yet to invest the proper time in the research.

Oh and along with all that I believe its the KJV of the bible.

my point being there is nothing to denote it as "official". It well could be
the collected "rememberences" of the individual who owned it. in either case
its collectable status is not diminished, possibily enhanced.

Either way this book is very interesting serum39.

When you have time I for one would like to hear more about it.

It is starting to sound more like a Family Bible, or an adapted ritual book.

We will wait to hear more.
