Reasons to be

Wishing wells full of lies and desires spring up in an attempt to arouse dismay.

Alert and aloof to the life of idols leaves little room for reason to be. Lies tie ever so closely with any braided gateway of truth upheld. And to live a life of common decency is not to live at all.

Common. Common among others. Common with mothers, fathers and the like. Life is mixed with imperial ideas of people other than ourselves. Within we have answers, and within us is a part which hides from such answers.

The Spirit of God is opposite the spirit of "life", and by life I mean what is considered by many to be life. These concrete ideas and thoughts can only limit the truth. Any definition only limits a word. God gave us words to speak with our mouths not for hurting others, not for bullsh*tting, and not for secrecy. But we are given the ability to speak so that we may understand and give understanding.

Let your eyes not be the tales of the secrets of your soul, the harsh veil you hide behind, being all to comfortable alone in your thoughts.

Let your words be as truthful as your thoughts, and let your thoughts not be unlike your words. Speak decently, respectfully, and kindly as you do to someone you hold most dear. Do so to everyone, being in equanimity and gentle spirit.

Have no reason to be otherwise.

Well it didn't make sense until the last paragraph. Still do not see what the point is, but good thoughts nonetheless. You should compile all these random (lack of a better word) thoughts and make some sort of philosophical book

Good intentions usually lead to good deeds. I do not believe that the "road to hell is paved with good intentions".

Intentions are good when they are done selflessly or out of love.

It's just a spiritual concept which does coincide. There does not need to be a point as long as it is all connected. Re-read and see how each piece relates to eachother.

I actually know it better from mental diagrams than words.

As for writing a book, I might when I get older and start to slow down.

I never really got into the whole bill and ted thing, guess it just wasn't my era.

Well I'm not windword, but I am a pentacostal. We speak tongues and do healing. Worship service is like a party in Jesus's name.
My best buddy was raised this way his whole life. When I was backpacking I got stonefoot and it hurt for a week and we were stuck until it got better. Well, one night we were reading the Bible and he started speaking in tongues. He put his hands on my foot and prayed in tongues. As he was doing this I felt warmth from my foot and it travelled through my body to my brain. He then told me to move my foot and it was 100% healed. Quite amazing and I am so glad I experienced that

Well it's hard to say because it varies quite a bit, but one that always stuck out was Om' Shalla. If I were looking for a new church it would have to be pentacostal and fun. No reason we can't have fun while worshipping and giving glory to our Father

I attended an Assemble of God church is a subburb of Los Angeles. Our pastor's name was Brother Bibler, I kid you not! He was a very flamboyant, charismatic preacher who wore brightly colored silk suits, big ole gold cuff links that caught the light as he swagger and flailed around the stage, blustering loudly about sin, hell, fire and brimstone, the second coming and the tribulation.

Often, during the services, someone from the congregation would interrupt the service with a loud message in tongues, and ALWAYS, someone else would shout out an interpretation. (An interpetation was always required to verify the message and to prove that the message was really from God. However, people would speculate the message was "private" if no interpretation was forthcoming.)

At the end of every service, there would be an "alter call", and always people would come pouring forward, in tears, asking for forgiveness, salvation and/or healing. At the alter, and in the aisles, there would be a lot of shaking and shouting, falling down and rolling on the floor, hands in the air and dancing with eyes closed, and YES, speaking in tongues.

Our church often participated in "Revivals" and evangelical witnessing, called "Jerico marches" where we would leave the church and march through the neighborhood streets, knocking on doors and "witnessing" to those who dared to answer our knocking.

Yep. I even gave some of those interruptive messages in tongues. I went into "spiritual trances often. Every summer, as a child, I attended church camp, an exact replica of what you see in the "Jesus Camp" Youtube videos.

I failed history miserably in high school, (late 60's early '70's) again and again, because I kept quoting the Bible and telling the creation story. The teachers just couldn't get through to me. In English class, I refused to read the Greek classics, or anything that wasn't Bible related, and I couldn't pass math if my life depended on it! I couldn't concentrate on it. It's amazing they let me graduate.

When I was very little, (2-6yrs old) I used to have bad dreams, because I was being sexually molested and assaulted by family members and childcare givers. My mother used to bring me to our pastor to have "Satan" cast out of me. That would include a Pentecostal exorcism consisting of being shaken, spit on, covered in olive oil, and prayed over by many people speaking in tongues. My mother thought, and reaffirmed this thought later in my life, that I was a demon possessed child who enjoyed sex.

The same thing would happen when I "knew" things in advance, like "Grandma is coming and she has donuts!". When she showed up with donuts, there was a trip to the pastor that followed!" Surely, I was demon possessed!

Yes, I agree, but when I go to church I see it as a more serious type of thing. I attend a Catholic church btw. The Eucharist is my reason for staying. The Body of God is there in that tabernacle, and I am sure it is true for other churches.

Do you know of any relations between pentecostal churches and the Catholic church. All religion bashing aside here.

You mother sounds like more of an extremist. What made you not like the church though?

And to relate to you I always found my own interests more important than school work. I would quote the bible often and teachers had no idea what to say.

They would always get mad and say that I was going of topic, that I was rambling and raving. But I was truly feeling what I wrote as my heart burns ardently when I write from my spirit. I felt that teachers were mad because they did not understand, or because their way of life convinced them differently.

No matter how they reacted I was just glad to affect them and give glory to God.

The division, the hypocrisy, the Hell, Fire and Damnation doctrine, the doom porn, judgementalism and just a plain old rejection of the doctrine of the virgin birth, a human blood sacrifice as a purchase of personal sin, original sin, the resurrection, the second coming, the tribulation and end times......

Do you mean that you reject their rejections? You have put me in a bit of confusion I am at a loss for words.

A big realization for me was while I was watching "office space".

When the guy said something like this. "When the only motivation is to not get fired, that will make a make a man work just hard enough not to get fired."

That's my problem with the damnation thing. I think hell is real, but when I accepted Jesus I chose to trust in Him and try to forget worrying.
