That's the calendar that told us everything was going to end in 2012. If I'm right, give the turn to someone else. I don't know anything about Ancient Civilizations (or posting photos).

It's not the mayan calendar.

Here is a clue....Source of all life.

Just checked and it is identical to the the mayan calendar sorry. This one is called the stone of the sun, found in mexico city 1790.

The Aztec calendar stone, Mexica sun stone, Stone of the Sun (Spanish: Piedra del Sol), or Stone of the Five Eras, is a large monolithic sculpture that was excavated in the Zócalo, the main square of Mexico City, on December 17, 1790.[2] It was discovered while Mexico City Cathedral was being repaired.[3] The stone is approximately 12 feet (3.7 m) across and weighs approximately 24 tons.[4]

Clue: archaeology has no clue who made these.
It's not France, but the country once was a French colony.

Another clue (about it's geographic position): "The Secret War".

I was thinking some ruins in french polynesia before your clues. Then secret war dug up the Hmong people of southeast asia. They came out China in the 1700s though, and the ruins look far older than that. I am completely stumped!

Read my first clue again about 'no clue who made these'. Or when, for that matter.
So don't look for a certain culture, it's hopeless.
Let's say for this item you just have to give the name by which it's known and location/region.

My secret war clue was meant pure geographic. You're not so far off.

I'm going to go with China? I feel like I either read somewhere or saw a show on a bunch of really large stone 'urns' that they had no idea where/how/what for.. and considered them potential storage? My brain is going left and right trying to remember, as if it were on the tip of my tongue..

They wouldnt be the megalithic stone jars of Laos?

en.wikipedia.org...

Wait.. yes it is!!!

With the clues I'm thinking possibly Laos and all I can find is a site called Vat Phou, Khou Vieng and Vat Mahapot. I'm guessing maybe the last two sites in Luang Namtha?

Other than that I am stumped. At first I thought it was a site in north Europe, I remember reading a thread a while back with pictures that looked similar.
