You can learn a lot from a zombie. At least that's what a University of Michigan professor hopes her 31 graduate students took away from Tuesday's bizarre, albeit bloody, "zombie apocalypse."

If zombies aren't real as the teacher says is it really necessary to have this exercise? Interestingly I recently saw a disturbing clip of a zombie attack on a subway recently there was blood everyone stood back during the attack. Here is that video link www.youtube.com... the attack is at 5 mins it's gross and horrific. I have heard people saying these recent zombie attacks are real and will increase. Zombies seem to be getting more media recently.

what if someone thought it was real and started killing zombies?

I am afraid when the CDC runs zombie drills.. because when the gov runs drills it seems that somehow the exact thing seems to actually happen for real, at the exact same time or close to the time that the drill happens...

So maybe we should avoid these types of drills.

The CDC campaign featuring zombies is an attempt to mainstream preparedness.
It is meant to be tongue in cheek.
That people confuse that shows their campaign fails.
That people are believing otherwise is beyond sad.

Well here is what the CDC says about why they do the Zombie drill..

As it turns out what first began as a tongue in cheek campaign to engage new audiences with preparedness messages has proven to be a very effective platform. We continue to reach and engage a wide variety of audiences on all hazards preparedness via Zombie Preparedness; and as our own director, Dr. Ali Khan, notes, "If you are generally well equipped to deal with a zombie apocalypse you will be prepared for a hurricane, pandemic, earthquake, or terrorist attack

www.cdc.gov...

Just a fun themed exercise...

Apparently the definition of a campaign's failure is relative.
I spend time here, on ATS, where people seem to believe it's going to happen. That is failure.
In the real world, the CDC says it's a success, because it is reaching people.
I wonder if they know about the people who are so sure everything is a conspiracy, that surely they must be preparing us for the coming zombie invasion. I sure hope so.
It is just another sign I spend too much time around lunacy...time to knit!
