If you go to this S.O.H.O site and enter 2013-04-15 to 2013-04-24 for LASCOC3 you see the video of it.

sohodata.nascom.nasa.gov...

Again 1 is sure there is a reasonable explanation so came to ATS to ask. Thanks in advance.

Isn't the bright thing a planet?

Nothing weird about that.

No, but the shadow is the same size as the planet so I doubt there's anything more to it. I think Phage will even agree. And, we usually don't agree with one another.

the 'shadow' matches perfectly over the brightness. It would be the contrast level.

Why isn't that the first thing you notice? That they match. It would, for most people, be nothing of interest.

What do you think it is? That warrants someone to explain it to you?

1 didn't feel it was a shadow as much as maybe another celestial body reflecting somehow from the lens since it seemed larger that's why didn't jump to reflection associated with planet body passing as opposed to another. Good question though
and thanks for your input.

The "shadow" is an artifact of the background mask which is used to accentuate detail in the solar corona.
The "shadow" is where Venus was when the mask was created. When the mask is updated the shadow will disappear.

also when 1 enters date back further like say the 4/10 to 4/24 it glitches with the shadow. As far as Deep Craft go not silenced but RELAXED on the subject if not noticed as requested by ... so this is something I just wanted to get a clarity feel of others thought on.
