Every time I go to a new thread ATS makes me log in.

I log in like I always do, go to browse recent posts, click on one to read, click on reply to and the screen changes to the non member screen and makes me log in.

So, then, I log in again and go through the same thing. I keep going through this process so I can finally post.

It took me a good 20 minutes of this to post this here today.

Any suggestions? My computer is the same one I have always used, same security settings, same anti-virus, etc. Nothing on my end is different.

I am having NO issues with any other websites where I need to log in.

Please advise,

Thank you in advance,
~K

Download firefox, opera, chrome, or anything other than explorer, and your problems will be solved.

My personal favorite is opera, but I haven't had internet (apart from what I have on my phone) for about 2 years so my opinion is outdated lol

I think your internet settings have been changed, check to see if cookies are turned off. If so, then turn them back on or allow cookies.

Your security software probably had a big patch to it. You may have to add abovetopsecret to your trusted sites. I had a similar issue a while back...couldn't even log onto Netflix. The tech guy for netflix let out a big sigh when I told him what my problem is...guess a lot of people had the same security software and called in complaining..

You'll know if the security software is the issue after you install another browser - it should duplicate the discrepancy.

Edit - add the site to the security software's trusted sites, not the browswer.

Aw shucks. I saw "ATS keeps making me log in" and I thought, "wow, talk about a compelling member experience!"

Then I saw it was a technical problem.

But it does sound like a cookie issue, and if it persists, please let us know.

I can't seem to log out.

Even when I attempt a manual logout, an internet explorer message pops up saying that page can't be displayed.

A reboot does it everytime though!

Ancient Eagles references notwithstanding, that does sound irritating.

I'm a Firefox user so I must admit virtually no knowledge of how Internet Explorer works, but it may be some setting or security feature preventing the logout script from running.

Or something like that. It's a long road out of Eden.

Firefox does work normaly for me.

However, when using firefox I get a "No active user session" when trying to upload photos or access my "upload" page. (any idea?)

I don't see any harm in always being logged in.

Yet.
