Boston mayor: Information suggests bombing suspects 'acted alone'

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino (D) said Sunday that the information he has about the Boston Marathon bombings suggests the two individuals suspected of carrying out the attack acted alone.

“All of the information that I have they acted alone, these two individuals, the brothers,” Menino said on ABC News’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos.”

Only one of the two men suspected of the bombings is still alive. The man, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was taken into custody Friday and has been hospitalized with gunshot wounds. “He is in serious but stable condition and we have not been able to interrogate him at this point in time,” Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said on CBS News’s “Face The Nation.” “There’s a special FBI interview team that’s coming out to talk to him, but at this point in time we have not done that.”

My comments: Theres been talk of Boston "terror cells" every since shortly after 9/11. I recall some western official visited the east coast and remarked how he was shocked and disgusted that some streets of the area were filled with mideast people so much so that they resembled streets of Afghanistan or Iraq, than streets of America.

So, what are streets of America look like, Ireland & Germany? This relates to stereotyping and distracting America from yet the next "terror" attack. Again, authorities have been talking about Boston being overrun with muslims and such for over 10 years now, and all they are doing is continue to fund terrorism through their al-Qaeda cells, thus the push to link any event with ethnic suspects, to some synthetic foreign archenemy.

I understand this is a developing story, with lots of people involved, and many streams of information to compile and go through.

BUT for crying out loud these people need to STFU until they have real concrete info, what happened to the "sleeper cell" the Fbi was supposedly looking at.

Everyone to busy running around trying to grasp at straws, and the Media so god damn eager for ratings they jump on any bone, disgusting.

when it happens in america its a 'lone gunman' or 'acted alone' but when it happens overseas its a 'terrorist organization' or another country involved. maybe the govt has realized that he wars in iraq and afganistan and the 'libya incident' and sryia and north korea and the policing of america are actually stretching the u.s. military too thin and cant afford to strike or invade another country, AGAIN... so the govt only will look at info that points to the 'lone wingnut' therory....

have they said what type of guns were used in the 'shoot out' with the cops? one article said the bomber died as he sprayed the police with bullets while charging at them...was it automatic weapon he used? and they were saying something about the brothers stashing weapons around the city....was that all fearmongering? and so far no info on what was used for the explosives...probably gunna be just some commonly accesible stuff bought a a hardware store, right?

where did they get the weapons and all the stuff to make the bombs and the numorous explosive devices thrown at cops? and the 1 brother still alive may never be able to talk again...how convinient
