Quite a huge amount of time, effort, and money for a "hoax" I think.

Amazing, absolutely amazing. I often wondered if it would have a blue tint to it, but it looks like every other planet we observe from Earth, so that answers that question.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Allow not your "Wisdom" to be comsumed in arrogant ignorance.

Lest ye become ensnarled in your own "bollocks" and be left outonalimb of your own construct.

Your unsubstantiated retorictic and lunatic raving stands as a tasid endorsment of the correctness of my eyewitness testemony, and reflects on the inability of yourself to divinate reality from fantasy

(roughtly translated: I found your response humorous and indictive of a closed ignorant mind.)

This is a screen shot I took with the free program Stellarium. I set the location to Mars Rover looking towards the sun with the rover in the foreground.

Notice that the original picture has NE showing in the bottom left, as this has S showing straight ahead.

And here is Mars with sun setting and PHOBOS in the night sky.

Again Stellarium is a free software and you can set your location to any where in the Solar System including Earth - set it to your ALT/LAT to see the sky for your location in real time.

The Atlas shown in the photo is one of the launches I saw from my front yard in Cocoa Beach. I've watched probably hundreds of missle launches leave the Cape and disappear, leaving the earth's grip into space. I've seen a few that didn't,SST Chalenger among them.
I grew up in Titusville directly across the Indian River Laggon from KSC. The VAB, Apollo/Shuttle lauch pad and other complexs clearly visable to the naked eye.
You are correct Sir!.......Quite a bit of time, effort, money, AND passion for a "hoax". And thousands of KSC employees over the years willing to keep a "secret" How? would seem to be the question raised by the nutter out there

Thanks, Jerry

Yes, Mars does have clouds. However, It's long ago destroyed atmosphere is much weaker than our own here on Earth.

I Love the images though, and I want to thank the OP for creating this thread.

It makes anyone with a brain quickly realize that planet Earth looks just like any other planet or even star when viewed from such a far and away distance. I am absolutely amazed by this technology.

With that being said, Just imagine for one second what our secret black space programs have discovered to date, let alone what they release to the herds of know-nothings?

LMAO! If we actually have really successfully landed that Rover, and others prior to it on the surface of Mars, my what an accomplishment of Human Kind folks.

Anyway, I love this stuff so much my friends, and I can never get enough of it. Thank You ATS! The best website on the internet by far. ~$heopleNation

I thought clouds only formed when there is enough big bodies of water for the whole evaporation, condensation, precipitation thing. I may be wrong.

Probably fake, but still cool to see what it might look like!
