Phoebe is a Hummingbird residing in Southern California. She laid two eggs. The first hatched on Saturday, the second one this morning. Her nest is the size of 1/2 golfball, the eggs were the size of tic tacs!
It's a nice break from all the doom and gloom...

Awww look at the little ones! I LOVE baby animals, one of them looked a little irritated for a minute though, I don't think he liked the truck sounds.
Thanks for sharing the feed they're amazing

Happy Earth Day!

Yes, it will be fun and informative for kids to watch the babies grow and mature. Definitely a great learning tool.

with all the hummingbirds around here in the summer, I never thought of looking for a nest. I look for robbin nests and swallow nests but never pay attention to the nests of other birds.

I have been watching Phoebe the hummingbird for four days non-stop. She is my instant cure for doom!

Thats great. I have one nesting as well, but TOO HIGH! to reach or to take pictures, always
sneaking by. Funny when they tease my cats, some of the birds would dive bomb my cat, even
though my cat is too fat and lazy to do anything to them, too spoiled, I dont see her as catch
her own prey type of cat either. There was this one time she was climbing our wooden fence
really slow, when she was at the top, they were dive bombing her at top of fence, and
she fell over, man i died
, was watching through window, too priceless.

Great!

But:

Halfway around the earth to me, it seems - it's dark over there

Well, that is of course my own problem. Nice find, anyway!
