Death will be as it was before you were born.
Before you were bron into this life, you didnt know you existed.
That is how it will be at death.

Things seem that way but they are not.

I am afraid of the pain of dying. I am not afraid of being dead.
I am afraid of being forgotten. I realize that we will all be forgotten.

I have a belief that no matter what our state of conscientiousness is that we are all aware when we die(Awake, sleeping, coma).
The only exemption would be those who die so fast their brain doesn't have time to register the pain. (ie: nuked)

Are you afraid to die?
no. Death is all that remains for me.
Life has nothing more to give me, just as I have nothing more for it.

All I really wanna know is:
[color=49E35D]At the precise moment of my death, will I be consciously aware of the fact that it truly is the exact moment of my death?

I can honestly say that I do not fear death. Because of the life that I have experienced, I somewhat look forward to it. What I fear is judgement after death. I believe that there is an all powerful God and that He will require of me answers for the decisions I have made in life. Not looking forward to that.

I think it's the idea of suffering and the idea of hurting my loved ones that I fear. I wouldn't say I fear death but I do fear those 2 things.

You will be ,only if you will consciously accept it and if you will be at peace with yourself.

Speaking freely here. I am afraid of death but I really would like to not be here anymore.

Does that seem crazy?

Afraid of life and death.

How do you commingle the two?

Doesnt seem crazy to me. I fear life, not death. death is a relief.

Yes, absolutely crapping myself, as is everyone.

So nobody on this thread is afraid of dying?

That's because you don't think it's going to happen for another 50 years, hehe.

But here's the thing: you still wont want to die.

Q. Who wants to live to be 90?

A. 89 year olds.

The part of me that wants to stay here is afraid but the part of me that wants to see the next adventure has no fear whatsoever.

I wanna be able to afford a little prop plane before I die because If i end up in a terminal state of impending death I will load it to the brim with the most fantastic fireworks money can buy and I will fly it into a volcano!
Oh,if you do that you will not survive your own death like the most majority do.

I'm talking about like if I had an incurable disease, and the outlook is looking grim.
I would rather go out in a blaze of glory than to wither away as my dignity as a human was robbed of me.

Imagine how horrible it would be if we DIDNT die.

Think about that for a minute before answering "hell ya!"

I have cystic fibrosis. When I was first diagnosed, the doctors told my parents that I may not live to celebrate my 10th birthday. As you can clearly see, I've beaten that statistic, but I'm still in a fight for my life, and it's a race against time.
In October i celebrate my 40th birthday. The odds that I won't get to celebrate my 40th birthday are 1 in 2....
I'm not afraid of death i cant wait for the next big adventure...
Now go and hug your family, tell them you love them, and be grateful that your life is so simple, because things could be a lot worse.peace,sugarcookie1 S&F
