They had to destroy these explosives in a controlled manner as soon as possible. If these had gone off before they destroyed them people would be crying "the bomb specialists aren't doing their job!" it's a case of 'damned if they do, damned if they don't!'

It shows "12:53 PM" on the tweet, and I'm on the same time zone as Boston.

12:53 PM is a few minutes BEFORE the bombing.... so I suppose this Tweet is the smoking gun (?).

look closely, it's a cloth that is being pulled a fraction of a second before the guy walks past it. It's not a limb. I thought the same exact thing until some one told me different.

All this demonstrates is that you know f**k all about explosives.....Which isn't a massive surprise TBH.

There seems to be very few facts and an awful lot of, often quite misinformed, interpretation in all of the threads on this subject so far.....Maybe familiarise yourself with the subject matter before weighing in?

I've also seen lots off accusations levelled at Craft International.....But has anyone bothered to contact them for comment?

Isn't it possible that as a security contractor they may have been providing.....Security?

In the post explosion pictures they sure look pretty stressed out to me.....Much more the look of men for whom something has gone very, very wrong, than of those covertly celebrating IMHO.

Another question has occured to me.....What exactly do you think you would have to tell a bunch of ex-SEALS to persuade them to use fragmentation bombs on a large crowd of American civilians including women & children?

If something similar were asked of the SAS I'd imagine the person doing the asking would probably suddenly find themselves having to answer an awful lot of very direct questions.....Possibly while staring down the barrel of an FN 5-7

You're confusing a lot of things. Craft International is a PRIVATE agency, basically a mercenary company. They have no allegiance to the USA unlike the Navy Seals or the SAS, even though it's most likely that they would refuse such an insane contract, but who knows. You're talking about an organization that only big money can put into action.

But yes it's possible that those agents were just doing security. As with the Craft guy who made a radiation check right after the explosion, it kinda shows that they probably weren't into any hostile operation. Two other Craft guys seemed pretty shocked by the explosion too. But two of their agents were very close to the spot of the explosion just before that happened, and one or two of those agents looked like they really were in an operation, constantly talking on their cell phones. Ok, perhaps just a coincidence.

I suppose it's believable both ways. As long as we don't find out who was that "Saudi national" who flew the country, and that guy who ran away from the crime scene amidst the chaos.

The video was debunked and had been debunked for a while before you posted it. Do your research, that moron isn't the Governor of Nevada, nor will he ever be. Did you people ever think that maybe, just maybe the government knew about a potential attack on the marathon? They obviously arent going to cancel the event because of a potential threat, and they sure as hell arent going to tell the people there that there might be a bomb, since that would only cause a panic. And having bomb sniffing dogs and a huge increase in security would never go unnoticed. The only logical thing that the police could have done is say "theres going to be a drill, disregard the increased amount of cops". Anything else might have incited a riot.

I thought everyone knew about this Twitter post by day two. Thank you for posting it and I hope it is viewed by many people.

A lot of people are looking at this event suspiciously. This Twitter post was being passed around the net the following Monday after the bombing occurred. I told my son about it, he is 21, and he quickly dismissed it as BS. You can show some people incredible evidence and if they don't want to believe it they simply wont.

Be prepared for blow-back when sharing this but don't let that stop you. I have always followed conspiracy theories, even as a kid in the Eighties. We had books back then instead of the internet but that just meant authors had to invest more time and energy when presenting alternate theories. I think the internet is great for sleuthing but a bit overwhelming at times.

My own son, who I always thought was more open minded, seems to be clasping a hold of "The Official Story" as it appears in the mainstream media. I thought I taught him to question authority a bit more than he does.

He actually started the conversation with me after work last Friday. During a very slow day at work he told me he had three windows open on his computer during his shift. ABC news, CNN, and reddit and told me everything he had seen about the bombings, the man hunt, etc.

I mentioned to him about eye witnesses accounts of being told there was a drill taking place when the bombs exploded and he immediately became louder, accused the stories of being lies, and tried to shut down the conversation by classifying it as a crazy conspiracy theory. When I questioned his opinion further he began to surmise is was "probably the police trying to calm the public", and then he guessed the authorities were just "assuming it was a drill in their own minds". He was grasping and on the spot making up theories that would point away from any intentional wrong doing at all. Cognitive dissidence anyone? I was shocked to say the least.

People will fight you on this, friends and family may even become violent in response but I will always question what the mainstream is trying to shove down my throat, if for no other reason other than to consider all points of view.

I stayed calm during our conversation and I have enough parenting experience to know when to lead a conversation away from an argument and keep control. I am not going to get into an argument with my son over differing opinions but I will present the facts for the sake of conversation and discussion.

Stay cool, stay calm, but share information with your friends and family and let them decide for themselves.

Isn't that part of what makes a forum like this and our country so great?

from the one demonstration i got to see when i was going to criminal justice school they (in that case) brought in a huge metal traler that was rated to withstand the blast and put it in there then blew it up i would assume depending on how close to other items it was they either put it somewhere to detonate or detonated it on the spot

I understand that he may be right. My surprise was his reaction to an alternative reality/explanation to what was happening. He reacted quite heatedly and with no patience for anything that was against what he saw as the official story.

I certainly entertain the "official story" may be completely accurate but I refuse to accept it just because a talking head told me to.

I have always been a rebel and I enjoy conspiracy theories because I like to challenge mainstream thought, my own viewpoint and the status quo. His reaction was almost violent simply because he saw it as conspiratorial, he refused to even entertain the topic of an alternative viewpoint and that is what surprised me.

The fact that he reacted so negatively to a differing viewpoint because it was a differing viewpoint left me surprised.
