On a bottle of sleeping tablets:

Warning: This medication may cause drowsiness

Well, I bloody hope so!

On a big bag of Cashew nuts:

Warning: May contain nuts

Again, I bloody hope so! It's a bag of nuts! What else is it going to contain! May? I hope to hell it does!

Have fun with it!

I once bought an over the counter sleep-aid.

When I got home and took a closer look at the label, it had "non-drowsy" on it.

Didn't help my insomnia.

These are great. It may be that people do not read the warnings any more. I don't, haven't for years. When they get as silly as they are now people just skip to something important.

It is like the software 'conditions of use' that no one reads, just click 'I agree.'

I did read the safety instructions for a new cordless drill recently, mainly for laughs! They were quite funny and yet because of the stupidity, no one reads them which defeats the purpose of warnings.

If you are going to somehow immerse your new microwave in water, well, goodbye, nice knowing you!

I like the hairdryer one above ........... who writes this crap, are they laughing as they write it.

Cashews are not nuts; nut-allergics can eat'em!

But I ate some peanuts yesterday, and the package read "May contain traces of other nuts."...

From the "General Safety" section of the user manual for my cell phone:
"DO NOT drop your device or subject it to severe shock".
Good thing I read the manual before trying out the phone. First thing I was gonna do was to drop it, then bang it against the wall a few times. It was a near thing for sure!
