I really think your frame by frame analysis, though an interesting theory, is probably totally wrong. In every aspect. I really tried to see what you have seen but there is nothing to see accept your frenzied imagination.

Yeah, it totally came at a bad time. I thought this whole Muslim thing was behind us.

It is wrong to assume that all Muslims are extremists.

• Only 1 in 4 US Muslims aged 18-29, when polled, stated that suicide bombings of civilian targets in defense of Islam could be justified.

• Only 42% of French Muslims aged 18-29 and only 35% of British Muslims aged 18-29 polled agreed with suicide bombings of civilians in support of defending Islam.

Pew Research Poll (2007)

• Only a minority of 1 in 8 British Muslims polled supported demonstrators who call for the death of those who insult Islam

ICM Research

• Only 1 in 8 American Muslims polled believed that Muhammad's critics should face the death penalty.

Link

• Only 36% of 16-24 year old British Muslims believe if a Muslim converts to another religion they should be punished by death.

• Only 19% of 55+ year old Muslims polled believe if a Muslim converts to another religion they should be punished by death.

Link

Apart from those minorities, most Muslims don't want you executed for insulting Islam, nor killed for leaving Islam nor do the majority support suicide bombings.

I believe most Muslims are good people, just like most Christians, most Jews, most Atheists, etc...

But the figures you posted don't reassure me at all. In fact, I think they're scary. Almost half of young French Muslims "agreed with suicide bombings of civilians"...? A third of British Muslims, the same?

Your post gives the impression you think these percentages are okay?

You are displaying classic Western narcissistic tendencies in assuming that the West is all powerful and that Muslims are mere puppets of the West.

I have not assumed that 'the West' is all powerful nor the other thing. I know the fallacy of Western power houses and of the other thing with their own agenda of dangerous actions. My original point was to express the contempt I habor the whole damn mess that we have to suffer, that here and now that this is the reality we have been born into.

They really need to get more quality control on television. I wouldn't be surprised if news networks started using actors, to be honest - that whole fad started with "reality" television that basically makes up half the plots of each episode in order to make them more interesting. Storage Wars, for example, basically plants all of the storage warehouses themselves.

They might not even be trying to falsify the even, but just make their station more exciting to get more viewers.

If American news starts to think of itself as entertainment / propaganda instead of legitimate reporting, they could do this.

Once again: BBC News

This is an amazing find, hadriana! Check this out:

*The Lone Wolf And the Bear: Three Centuries of Chechen Defiance of Russian Rule
*Chechen Dictionary & Phrasebook (Hippocrene Dictionary and Phrasebook)
*Allah's Mountains: The Battle for Chechnya, New Edition

This shows a link to both Chechnya and Muslims! But more importantly, it is evidence that he may have been in communication with a Chechnyan terrorist cell.

*The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire: Volumes 1-3 of 6 (Everyman's Library)

This book shows that he thinks the American Empire is going to fall soon due to lack of morals. We went over this theme in my college courses many times.

And... Snatch - featuring gangsters and chess! Total Russian influence here.

[size=-6]P.S. I seem to remember some episode of the Twighlight Zone, or maybe it was Farenheit 451, or 1984, or Brave New World, where people were observed based on what books they had checked out of the library. I am so glad I'm part of this.

It's not clear what their motivation was. For all we know, they could have been motivated by watching too much FOX News and attending TEA Party and Ron Paul events. (which is my theory). But without any facts, jumping to the Islamic extremist boogeyman is just speculation.

I'm still of the opinion they watched too much Hannity and went to too many Ron Paul events and read too much TEA Party propaganda and that set him off. But without any proof. I'm speculating as much as the OP.

Thank you, and thank you again. This whole issue has become so depressing that your humor was very welcome.

Funniest thing I've heard this week, I'm still chuckling. Thanks again.

You may also want to discuss the probability that, since Tea Partiers and Ron Paul are elderly, their motivation was jealousy of the young people running and they wanted to slow them up.

As an alternative theory: 1) They bought the pressure cookers. 2) Being in Boston, they tried to make Boston Baked Beans. 3) The recipe failed badly. 4) Enraged, they used the cookers as an instrument of revenge against the city.

This is #ing ridiculous. I despise political correctness with a passion. Call a spade a spade - tell it as it is. Again, not surprisingly, a terror attack was committed by religious Muslim fanatics.. And again, not surprisingly, the media is seemingly bending over backwards to avoid mentioning this.

Do we eschew this knowledge in order to protect Muslims??? Why? Why are we so afraid to simply tell it as it is? We can balance the picture by emphasizing the reality that Muslim Fanatics - Jihadists - represent a very small number of observant Muslims. But if a problem exists - and a veritable issue with Muslim extremism plagues most countries with large Muslim populations - then acknowledge it. This political correctness, this dance around the facts, smacks of the most noxious liberal hypocrisy; while saying the word "fag" or "thats gays" warrants universal condemnation from the media - an exaggeration of an otherwise innocuous phrase, not to mention a violation of the right to free speech - this same liberal media presents terrorist attacks committed by Muslim extremists for religious reasons - whether it was the fort knox killings, and now the boston marathon killings - with a cool indifference, as if its nothing important worth mentioning.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to say there is a "war" between Islam and the west (the feared conclusion, no doubt, liberals suspect people will make), nevertheless, concealing the facts not only betrays the first principle of journalism - impartial reporting of the facts - but also creates the impression that there is a conspiracy to mislead people; if the perpetrators acted out of ideology, we should be aware of this. To hide it, over and over again, inures people to a perception that is out of sync with actual reality.

How many more of these type attacks are we to endure before we acknowledge the virulent prevalence of this ideology?
