but hang on a mo, you say you aint a geek?

just for the dudes out there... here is a test.. i found this while looking for the images. if this does nothing for you then you are right, you are not a geek..

but please check to see if you have a pulse

do share your own geek cusses, and if the female readers want to post a sexy han solo, be most welcome... i'm hoping this is all in T&C's, do the same with replies

I always thought swearing was impolite and the mark of someone who was neither brought up nor educated very well.

It is a way to judge people, and it is a fair way because people swear by choice.

I agree with you.

As I have said before. Those that have the inability to express themselves REDUCE themselves. That within itself says allot about their capacity

well there are some times and places regular cusses are not out of place imo but that is not the intention of the thread at all so i dont think it's part of the discussion here, it's a geek humour piece

I'll have to disagree.

Sometimes 'polite' words are just not enough to express how you feel and it would be a shame to remove feelings from people.

agreed - it's often a matter of tone and overall post content as well as which mods are present - i've had stuff snipped by some that i thought was just silly and had stronger stuff pass unhindered in other areas of the site.

while the percived "IQ of threads" here can vary wildly i'm glad not to have to read loads of swearing here or deal with overly immature stuff most of the time. and i can cuss with the best of them

I think the no cussin' rule was made up by a bunch of spaghetti benders anyway. Anyone who doesn't like my colorful language can stuff a dolphin up their cakehole.

Now watch this get deleted!

the copy and paste is totally borked, but think of each group of 3 words as having a column 1, 2 and 3 word (in that order).. then mix up the 1's, 2's and 3's... ie: any who would delete thine post Mr Jiggerj, would be nowt but a villainous pox-marked bum-bailey, or indeed a yeasty clay-brained flap-dragon

I agree completely -- but using profanity constantly has greatly devalued the effect of profanity

absolutely, it's become common frelling coinage to the point that some dont even realise they are using it... many is the time i have been on a bus or train with my boy of 6, sitting near some yoots who were by no means "bad" and the bad language soon starts to come out... now these are often pretty decent kids just off to town to buy a computer game or blooming pokemon cards, but because they are in each others company they forget themselves - they are not even acting up or showing off and a quiet " 'scuse me chaps" sorts it out etc.
therefore they should swear like the geeks that they are. QED

i'm really not here to discuss the value or otherwise of common cuss words though.. did you get the tone/intent of the OP?
