I especially like #14:

14. "Issue a presidential memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence."

Now it's a disease......What brainiacs we have in office. Gun Condoms, coming to store near you for the prevention of gun violence. Wonder how much money we will spend on this "research".

Wow, a couple of pages straight consisting mainly of Extreme Terms & Conditions Violation warnings.

Have no idea what they said, but I went through and starred every single one of them by neo96, sulaw, beezer, et al, because, well … while I may not know what y’all wrote, I know why you wrote it – so whatever it was, I'm in agreement, LOL

I only starred yours to cover all.

I thought the POTUS was just being himself yesterday. We've seen him not get his way before and he gets bent every time. But he sure poured it extra thick with that 90% of the country wants his gun legislation.

They won't be happy until they can stop hiding and just come straight out with the laws they create.
A lot of people in America don't realise that although you get a vote, it's void if you believe in democracy.

Not surprising, criminals will continue to commit crimes until they are punished. This rogue government will be judged by history and hopefully before then by the citizens. Bush and Obama and their administrations can share the dictionary page that explains rogue government.

"Executive Actions" by our president is definitely not the answer. Guns will always end up in the hands of people who don't deserve them but taking action against the people who have them legally will only make it worse for the American public!!!!! Open your eyes Obama

90% of the country wants this.
90% of all Americans support common-sense gun laws.

I know this, because just last week alone, I heard no less than 12 automatons repeat it.

It must be nice to be a sociopathic politician who has no ethical qualms about just making utter nonsense like that up, just to see if it will become a ‘fact’.

It is very telling that you do not see the patriots out there saying things like:

“92.43434343% of Americans, according to a recent survey of random people who I know already agree with me, want the Federal government to just GTFO and do something useful for once, like fix the damn potholes on the Cross Bronx Expy section of Interstate-95.”

“…and when was the last time you saw 92.43434343% of people of all walks of life, Republicans and Democrats agree on anything? Blah blah bla lie bla lie Newtown blah lie…”

Given that our current executive branch deems it important to resist so many things within a system that's worked well thus far maybe citizens should propose some changes of their own to tighten up these rules. Maybe we can see these actions in a positive light by looking at them as a warning of more to come and take steps to prevent problems that our children might otherwise face without getting in front of it. Because technology has indeed made some of the rights more sensitive maybe reitterating that rights stand by insuring elected officials get put back into their intended roles (civil servants), and taking other steps to change the political atmosphere. We have given government too much control. For example, one 6-year term to avoid the salesman as president atmosphere. Popular vote. No right to exploit others losses for political positioning (represent the cries of the majority rather than the agenda), president must make every attempt to separate personal feelings from policy (every other profession has to do this so why not the most powerful professionals), etc. Just brainstorming ideas. Thinking of what America will look like in 20-50 years if don't look ahead and then take steps.

Hopefully it gets slapped down hard, so that these anti-american politicians will get the message America will not stand for them messing with the Constitution.
You're about 155 years too late. Oh wait, you thought that the Constitution for THESE United States of America was still in effect after the Southern states seceded, thus denying the North a quorum? You didn't know that they adjourned sine die (without a day of reconvening)? You didn't know that another Continental Congress would be required to establish a new (since the old was destroyed through the exercise of States' rights) republic? You didn't know that the Corporatocracy was silently ushered in and thenceforth all actions done by the government have secretly served a for-profit corporation, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

Well, that's par for the American educational system. Don't feel bad; you really have to dig to find the original 13th amendment, which every lawyer and judge in this country violates daily.

You try purchasing guns on line . First of all you have to have a dealers license thus Back Ground Check . Or the guns will be shipped to a dealer where you will have to go through a background check to get them .
Your local drug dealers don't have to go through a background check .
How about the people who kill more people than guns in the hands of Idiots . How about Partial Birth Abortion . How about those little babies trying to live out their lives . Their life was taken from them in a more horrendous way than getting shot .

This is not the case in my state. It varies state by state. I can buy a gun online and have it shipped to me but my friends in Jersey and California cannot do that.

It is an impeachable offense. He is sidestepping congress and doing something against the will of the country. Although I feel that it is necessary to keep guns out of the hands of people who are a little nuts, I think this action is an abuse of Obama's power. Let the Republicans in Congress start the impeachment proceedings, I will support their actions.

Obama is so worried about gun violence but he is a very strong Abortion supporter . He opposed the Partial Birth Abortion Bill and it's being upheld in the Supreme Court . Still late term abortions are like partial birth abortions and they are cruel and painful to the Fetus . But he is not worried about their suffering .
Obama is a NWO / Socialist who wants to facilitate destruction of the United States of America . He is not a Natural Born American and is actually anti American . He will not salute our flag . That should say something to America .

What I'd like to see is the gun-control crowd come together and endorse stricter penalties on those who use firearms in the commission of a crime!

All of us, want to see less tragedies. Al of us want to see fewer deaths in the inner cities, the schools, theatres, malls.

Instead of going after law-abiding people, let's all come together and create harsher penalties for those who commit crimes.

I think we can ALL agree on that. Can't we?

I am sorry down to the root of my soul.

I didn't vote for him, because of working 80 hours every week before and after the election.

I was going to vote for him, but i didn't see any of this dictator type horsecrap out of him

truly a silver tongued half black devil!

while the subject of gun control is the topic of this thread can we also make laws about pharmaceutical control???

Seems the common denominator of all these mass shootings is the drugs these folks are taking, yes each instance has guns involved, but they also have drugs involved as well.

Can we stop the drugging of children FIRST, then worry about gun control, seems the drugging of the youth of America has more to do with violence, (with guns or without) then guns themselves.

instead of treating a symptom, lets try and treat the CAUSE first. ( I guess that is not as "feel good" as gun control, right )

Edit to add: if you are REALLY concerned about your personal safety in the world, maybe you should just stay home, even that is not so safe, but it's better then restricting the rights of others

Also, if you are convinced guns are that bad, show your support, put a "gun free zone" sign on your lawn or front door. ( ya know like the [insert politicians name] signs some of you had )
