There are a lot of these reports lately:

Many are just nutcases with a warped sense of humor.

Yeah this one just popped up on the national news over in the UK so I just assumed there was something unique about it. It's not like the MSM to be selective on what they report on though!

Actually I believe the MSM is very selective.

Report just enough to keep people on their toes. Over-report the small things that gain viewers and to which direction they you need to look while something else happens in the other direction.

Very selective.

Your link appears to be malfunctional.

Furthermore, and with best possible regards to yourself,I really didnt get much of the information I would have hoped for from your OP. All I know about this according to what you posted , is pretty much what your title says.

Would you care to elucidate just a little bit?

Apologies, I didnt realise the link didnt work, although having just tried it I think it may just have been removed. I think this all came to nothing in the end anyway, but yesterday it came up as breaking news on Sky so at the time I thought it was significant.

Sorry if the title misled you. Here's a couple of alternative links, hope these work;

news.yahoo.com... -suspicious-package-found-port-tampa-165928411--finance.html

www.bizjournals.com... suspicious-package-found-at-port-of.html

Cheers

This is a source I found for what appears to be related information.

www.baynews9.com...

Seems that the thing that set off the alarm bells was a number of K-9 units identifying the same pallet and its contents as a potential danger. The explosive trace chemicals that they were smelling was probably transfer from a shipment of fireworks that had been stored in the same location, or on the same pallet.

You are right, the initial worry appears to be over.

Key word here = "Suspicious"

I don't think they meant it quite the way it sounds.

They are reporters and report exactly how they want their story to look and sound.
