Whenever someone tells me they are an atheist, I think, what a dumbass, he thinks everything created itself out of nothing...what kind of illogical mind does this person have, how deep is the darkness in them...what cause them to become so broken and lost...well, the answer is that the creation itself testified to them of His Eternal Power and Glory, but their sorry asses preferred LIes

Atheist destroyed Matematically @ anhundredandfiftyandthree.blogspot.com

thats rude.
You have no clue what kind of life a person has gone through.
A different upbringing than yours,
a devastating trauma etc.

you think you are a theist by some merit of your own?
Its only God who guides and God does not like like arrogant self righteous people.
I though you may know that as a theist.

your intentions maybe good but you appear different.
You can just tell people about God and it better be done in a good respectful manner.
A star for your intention

Whoa, slow down there tiger? "shut up" ?

You seem to be very angry and hostile for a loving christian. Although we have seen that in history before, right?

Shut up and believe what I do or I´ll kill you.

Very loving.

well first off i was talking to mr. audi (night audit). so that queer comment was directed at him. anyway,

Oh, Mike, I just missed an important bit. What IF I am queer? Do you have problems with that? Would you want to stone me to death like the bible says?

this is why its so annoying when people, who dont even know anything about the whole jesus christ story in the bible, try pulling out lines from teh old testiment like i need to follow it. if you read the bible and read my last post im trying to tell you its no longer a concrete from of the religion. the 10 commanments and loving everyone as yourself is pretty much the golden rules. thats why im giving you a load of sass right now because if i was you id want someone to do it to me too if i was acting just as imature and ignorant to the facts and then pawning my opinion off ass fact as well. how do you think theres a commandmanet that says do not murder and then you think cause a passage said "stone a man that lies with another man" and think you need to do that too. its hypocritical, thats why reading comprehension is so important and taught in grade school in hopes to prevent people from becoming like night audit.

read a little about it here

i got a question for you guys though. if you dont believe jesus was anything special. (even though were here talking about him thousands of yers later..)& i hope you see the irony there.. then who was he exactly?

The fact alone that you made that statement disqualifies you from any further discussion with me.

You are not worth my time.

EDIT: I can´t resist to answer your question though. Jesus was in the same way the son of god as was buddha, krishna or horus for example.

He was a good guy who tought a good message. The resurrection was told by his followers and maybe THEY really believed it happened. But it didn´t.

Unfortunately the good message of jesus was later used to kill pretty much everyone who believed differently.

In short, great guy, good message, not the son of god.

“I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”

this famous man and oxdford professor would call you a fool for saying that

And? Is that supposed to impress me? Shall I quote a dozen other´s that agree with me?

Think for yourself Mike, even if the results are not that great so far.

EDIT: And btw, your prof included the option that your jesus was a lunatic....

What are you even trying to say here? Where did I contradict myself?

I do not think that you are mentally capable to follow this correctly.

And I didn´t call him a "lunatic". Your prof did.

I wouldn´t think of him as a lunatic at all.

Lol, did you even READ what you quoted?

Lmao. U guys are so stupid. Nope he was an atheist trying to disprove god. Why would u bring up the lunatic part then night audit? In a fashion like "see, you can still call him that". Why point it out at all if it wasn't ur opinion?

Again, this is what I wrote:

"And btw, your prof included the option that your jesus was a lunatic...."

I mentioned that because YOU said that this quote of your prof is somehow proof that jesus was the son of god.

All I did was point out that even the guy you quoted didn´t actually say that. He said that jesus was either the son of god or a "lunatic and madman".

Therefore your quoted text proves nothing, as it leaves the option of jesus not being the son of god.

I hope you could follow that, I can´t really simplify it any further.

why are you so insistent that we accept your view? Even Nightaudit and my view about Jesus pbuh may not agree but we would not call each other as 'stupid'!!

Your missing the main point which is. You want say he was a good teacher without saying hes the son of God as well. if you dont think he's the son of god your saying some nut job was a good teacher. You wouldnt say some bum saying "i'm a dinosaur"is a good teacher. People would most likely do the oppositeof that man because he's crazy. You dont do everything he says thinking its great wisdom then in another breath call him crazy. How are you going to agree with what he says if he's just a lunatic?

Wow, you are really drifting into la la land now.

Ok, here are a few thoughts on that.

Ghandi: Great teacher, not the son of god.

Buddha: Great teacher, not the son of god.

Mother Theresa: Great teacher, not the daughter of god.

Yoda: Great teacher, not the son of god.

Do you see a pattern here?

Implying that nobody can be a great teacher without being the son of god is a little far fetched, wouldn´t you agree?

And again, I never said that jesus was a "lunatic" or a "nutjob". You and your professor seem to like to insult him though.

I have high respects for jesus and his message, I just don´t think Christianity is the "only" true way. In the same way I have a lot of respect for the dalai lama without subscribing to his faith.

.Depart from Me you workers of LAWLESSNESS

Wait. WHAT?!!!
You joined TODAY, to tell ATS to depart from you??

How very bizarre, AND rude!! Why did you join, just to come on here and sound like a narrow-minded, hateful, self-righteous jerk? Doesn't take much brain power to see which members on here are not showing good manners nor good thinking. That's the sort of behavior that makes people feel negative about Christianity. Way to go (straight to your 'hell').

You think those people who chose to join this thread don't know the STORY of Jesus? Don't know how Christianity developed?

Dude,
you are adding to the problem. It's this sort of hateful, neurotic self-righteousness that makes you look like an "empty vessel" who knows how to spout off the nonsense he heard somewhere. Just so you know. It makes you - and all so-called "Christians" who behave like you - even more unpopular than you already are. You are posers, and haters, and absolutely guilty of those very things you call "sin."

IF what you believe has ANY TRUTH to it, YOU will be the one who winds up in hell. In fact, I think you already ARE in hell, with all that nasty poison surging through your veins, and the toxic thoughts bouncing across your synapses. Must suck to be you, really. Maybe someday you'll take the cure - and quit believing all that outdated, backward, hateful and panic-stricken drivel.

And you all wonder why we want you to stop it.

Anyway, I'm not going to spend any more energy on you.

The huge difference between then and Jesus is THEY NEVER CLAIMED TO BE GODS SON. So they are not at all like Jesus. So if someone said im the Son if God tomorrow, youd think hes crazy. Now why did someone like that mean so much back then? if he wasn't looked at as you would view a man saying that same thing in the street tomorrow theni have to believe he was more than just "some guy who was a great teacher"
