That video is really upsetting. The poor girl begging her dad after the explosion 'dad, get out of here, I can't hear anything' How absolutely terrifying!

Who drives their kid within 500 yards to watch a bomb 100 times bigger than OKC on fire? I am just thankful they did not lose their lives, many did.

He was pretty far away and he probably thought it was just a fire. But he is very lucky to say the least. If there were some metal sign or other objects around that could of certainly been fatal to Him and his Daughter.

But, this video gives a good perspective to the power that this explosion had.

There are already reports of 60 to 70 people dead. That would be crazy if there was more than a hundred people dead.

couldn't make out what was just said, something about hundreds of pounds of some substance stored at the plant today....

Crews on the Scene of an Explosion in NE OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Firefighters and emergency personnel are investigating after an explosion in NW Oklahoma City.

The explosion occurred just before 9:30 Wednesday night at 812 N. Bryant.

Officials tell us it was a tank battery that exploded. The cause is unknown at this time. The area surrounding the tank battery is being evacuated

Heard on the scanner people from union pacific are trying to contact proper people to notify them that 200,000lbs of anhydrous was delivered to that plant this morning.

My heart goes out to all the people of West and to the first responders heading into the area. I've said it before, first responders, such as volunteer firefighters, rush into harms way to try and save the day never knowing what REALLY lies on the other end of a 911 call.... Risking their lives without a pay check, or even just thank you, most of the time.
