Come on if they were to ever attempt something like that they would have no need to cover anything up with a false positive... They could just launch one of their space drones in secret like the few we've already seen and just direct it from afar. By the time it was on course they cold detach or build something that won't survive re-entry and we'd never know the difference.. So there's no need to fabricate a whole cover story but thanks for playing

I'm very open to the extreme possibilities that the wonders of the universe has to offer, but the mere thought of us catching a comet is absurd. Pretty hard to catch something traveling in an orbit at hundreds of thousands of mph with so called new funding lol. Why would we need a comet to cause that type of damage. I'm pretty sure we have a few nukes laying around.

I came to this thread hoping for a relief from the constant barrage of Boston coverage but apparently I was wrong.

Okay, so where is one shred of evidence please? I have never heard of a comet catching program, but I have heard something about an ASTEROID program. Okay so Links please to anything showing the "funding" for this project. Or anything that will back even the idea of a "comet catching program".
