Why would someone target innocent civilians if it was a "patriot group". Why not target something else? The Federal Reserve comes to mind.

That also tells me that this is not a Muslim extremist attack, as a large part of that is the idea of martyrdom.

Everything is telling me that this is a right wing extremist group or individual.

Seems homegrown to me, people are angry, right near the Newtown families? Yeah. No, I agree with him/her.

Just heard on CBS news a witness state the first explosion was near marker 26....

Bad news and appallying. My gut feeling this is the work of North Korean sleeper cells. We shall see. My condolences to those who have died and whose families are now grieving.

I'm sorry, but this is misleading. Gay "leaks" do not mean explosions are certain. Cities all over the world have gas leaks every way, that's why we have methods in place to monitor pressure and to smell gas when it's escaping. Don't you think with those thousands of people due there they would have noticed the MASSIVE smell of gas? For explosions like that, you would need two gas leaks, and explosions simultaneously, you would also need a huge build up of gas in the are for a blast like that.

The explanation of "gay leak" is not sensible, nor is it likely.
In addition, this would have been announced already. If it were a gas leak then they would have found the sources within minutes.

I predict they will trace this to an anti-government group. One made up of right-wing, Christians who distrust the Obama admin and support the constitution. They will have some veterans in the group.

bbc news have just reported that onsite officials could smell cordite in the aftemath and the affected area has just been declared a no fly zone over the area, JFK library has been confirmed as an explosion from reuters

Heard on scanner a Penske truck is being checked and they are trying to gain access to it.

If they diffused some of these, that meant prior knowledge. The city knew something was up and did not find them all in time. Folks, there are threats against the US every minute of every day. What a tragedy and hope this is it.

So where's our fearless leader ?

I don't agree. How do you know that they haven't stopped hundreds of attacks in the last ten years? It's easy to point at an event and blame someone for not stopping it, but there will ALWAYS be people who get through the net. You have to consider how many examples of success there has been rather than picking out the one terrorist attack in a decade and using it as PROOF that the government has failed.

I'm not one to defend governments and departments, but attacking them for not stopping this when no one knows the facts is just not right.

Just heard on scanner that a Penske rental truck reportedly loaded with "medical supplies" tried to gain access to the area but was turned away. Now they're trying to find that truck.
