Not really 'reporting' this as new news, but rather just to say something ...
Boston official: Video footage shows bomb suspect
BOSTON (AP) — Investigators poring over photos and video from the Boston Marathon bombing have a department-store surveillance-camera image of a man dropping off a bag at the scene of the one of the blasts, a top city politician said Wednesday.
This was on the front page of my local news.
Reason I pasted it here is I hope we dont have another 9/11 type deal with 'word' of footage that shows everything, but we the public, never see it. That's when I begin to question things. Not jumping on any conspiracy theories here ... yet. I really doubt there are any. I think it is what it is this time around.
With all the graphic images and video of what happened that day, I see no reason why a store camera of someone setting a backpack on the ground would not been shown.

No footage will be released its an open and active investigation.
They only release footage when they need help finding the person, they have the name and photo of the person and are tracking him down, no need for the public to help, it also may hinder finding them.edit on 17-4-2013 by scottromansky because: (no reason given)
I would love to see video, in this circumstance i bet they do release the video, maybe only after the court trial (if that ever happens)edit on 17-4-2013 by scottromansky because: (no reason given)
The FBI cell phone records from nearby cell towers to pinpoint the number and location of the cell phone that detonated the bombs. The media had earlier reported the bombs were detonated using a timer.
Police and fire investigators are trying to determine who has been setting off a series of homemade explosives near Route 53 in recent weeks. Fire Chief Jeffrey Blanchard said the explosions have not caused any injuries or property damage, but the State Police bomb squad had to be called in after two unexploded devices were found near Pine Street and Tower Hill Drive on March 12. Police had been sent to the area after witnesses at the Target store on the other side of Route 53 reported seeing a bright flash and hearing two explosions.

September 20, 2006 – ASHBURN, Va. -- Verizon Business today opened its new Government Network Operations and Security Center (GNOSC), a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to supporting the unique security and operational requirements of its federal government customers. The center, located in Northern Virginia in 30,000 square feet of space built to government security standards, will support the managed network services Verizon Business provides to nearly every federal government agency from the civilian, intelligence and defense communities. The center conducts real-time network monitoring of federal government customers' global network traffic and provides government agencies with a single point of contact to obtain products and services to meet network operations requirements and related security matters. Verizon Business historically has provided leading managed-network services for federal government customers, and the new center enables the company to put both network operations and security operations under one roof. The company will continue to provide managed services at the network operations centers currently in operation. "Establishing the GNOSC is a cornerstone of our strategy for meeting the federal government’s demands for next-generation networking services," said Jerry Edgerton, group president for Verizon Federal, the sales organization within Verizon Business dedicated to serving federal government customers. "With this center, we are putting the customer's physical and systems security first."
