What Flower Are You???

A shrink once asked me this question: If you were a flower what flower would you be and why? I thought it would be interesting and entertaining to ask this of my ATS peers...feel free to post pics along with your answers...I would be a daisybecause its low maintenance and average...beauty in its humbleness...

Well, I ain't no pansy and my wife sez that I don't smell like the rose I believe I am.

So...

I'm going with cactus...

My favorite flower is Daisy... does that count?
I love daisies because they're bright, cheerful and common. They smell nice and there's never an excuse for my husband not to stop and bring home flowers in the summer time... they're everywhere!

Cactus

If you violate my personal space, it's gonna hurt.

I am a thistle. Pretty colors, but don't attempt to uproot me. I thrive in areas most other flowers cannot.

Water Lily

It floats in the water, yet is rooted in Earth. Such a beautiful flower! Love the pads, too!

The iris.



This root has been used in perfumery for thousands of years.

In Greek mythology the Goddess Iris of the rainbow, gave her name to the flower. She is a messenger god and the female counterpart to Hermes. Iris guided female souls after death, and thus, they put Iris flowers on the graves of women in symbolism that the Goddess take care of their loved one's spirits in it's transition.

In Japan, May 5, is when they have their "Iris baths" as the flower is seen as a purifier and has protective qualities. The leaves are steeped in hot water and the ritual protects the bather for the year. The also add it to sake, for it's attributes.

The flowers main attributes is protection and purification.

Lillies!

I love lillies!

The smell of the perfumed ones sends me straight into another dimension.

I've grown them from bulbs and I've bought them cut. They can change the atmosphere of any room.

I'm one of those bug eating plants. what the hell are they called......? the.....i dunno but they eat bugs and they're badass cool. no pics no name no nothing.

My flower would be an Orchid!

It's a beautiful and fragrant flower. It has also been used
as a source of herbal remedies in China since 2800 BC.

I think maybe natalia you could be onto something here as you might have been finding that wee Rose for shells when i was hitting the reply button (twilight zone music) i'm fabbergasted

I'm jealous of everyone as i haven't a clue how to put lovely flowers up yet or anything else if it comes to mind but any hoo shells its lovely to see all the flower of different posters, Thank you for starting this Thread. s/f

To get to that page without that link:

There's a toolbar towards the top of this page.
Home, Top Topics, New Topics, etc.. etc....

On the right side of that bar, click 'TOOLS+'.

After you click 'TOOLS+', another bar(with about 10 different options) will drop down.
Click 'ATS uploads'.

I think it's self explanatory, once you get to it, but if not, just ask.

Yes i was helped with that from Templer74 but i don't no how to do it myself and it took him half the night explaining to me how to put the avatar up he made for me so i'll just sit on the side lines oohing and aahing at all the lovely flowers. I thought you we're being helpful there for a minute and leading me to a page with a million flowers on it tut

Broken i'll have to do a computer course to bring me up to the level of you young un's
