I wouldn't say Aliens built the pyramids.

All i'd say is the Egyptians perhaps knew a lot more than we give them credit for. Where did they get the info? That's up for debate. It's quite an amazing structure. But i wouldn't jump to....... "ALIENS"

really ?

They have pictures of really badly used wood, completely worn, heavily used on every side.
Yet this parchment is clean, the text is crystal clear like it was drawn yesterday....

Is this a joke ?
If not, we found a great place to store nuclear waste... it has been tested for 4500 years by that pristine parchment.

Oh one point I've been to the Giza pyramids a half dozen times and once spent an entire afternoon wandering about Menkaure's - yep they are real, lol....

Pfft! Anecdotal evidence.

Because the wood was components of actual ships used at sea and each trading season they were disassembled. The papyris was not subjected to that type of environment. Papyris has a long history of good survival in dry climates.

Oh and the 'pristine parchment (sic)' is full of holes - what you're seeing has probably already been cleaned and conserved.

Organic material does very well in either very dry or very wet conditions - with the right Ph....we have wooden javelins going back 400,000 years so 4,500 Papyri is surprising but not unwarranted.

What it sounds like is blatant pro- "Khufu/Ramses II built the Great Pyramids using Hebrew slaves, despite all the archaeological and geological evidence to the contrary, because that's what lines up with the Old Testament" propaganda.

If this turns out to be authentic, and actually ties Khufu to the Great Pyramids, I'll eat my hat.

And no, I don't think it was aliens. I hold to the ancient advanced civilization theory.

I am only having trouble picturing this because I don't know what kind of hat that you wear.

Can you describe it?

Howdy Snsoc

I think you mean Khufu - Ramses was much later, nor does the mainstream hold that 'Hebrew slaves" did it. The mainstream is not in 'debate' over this issue with the many fringe theories. Which is why they are called fringe theories. You might want to wait until the full discovery is shown - THEN deny it. As I noted earlier I was sure that this find would be dismissed, denied and denigrated before it has been fully revealed, for the fringe must have its conspiracy and the pyramids must not have been built by those ancient Egyptians!

I suspect that some point in the future the fringe will use this phrase

Vyse must have planted the papyrus for future discovery.

lol

Well with that I will leave this thread, thanks for the replies and I'll see all you folks later.

It is authentic and one of many artifacts (including the mortuary temple to Khufu that's in front of the GP) that ties Khufu to that particular pyramid. And, of course, the pyramids weren't built with slave labor. The people of the nearby farming towns (and workers from the nearby capital city of Memphis) worked on the pyramids. The pyramid work was done during the annual floods, when farmers couldn't work their fields because of the flood.

Great find! SnF~ I enjoy watching the banter between threaders, it truelly makes me giggle. And thank you Byrd for your knowledge of reading some Hieroglyphics and confirming Khufu.

We keep digging and digging it was only a matter of time before we found something stating the production of the pyramids. Though it doesn't state how, I feel it's only a matter of time before.... "JACKPOT"!!! and we can put aside all the Alien and Ancient Advanced Civ. talk.

Whoever the victor is, nobody know's for sure!

I thought it was pretty cut and dry with much evidence that the pyramids were certainly made by the egyptians to the point of which pharoah had what built and when.I would think the Sphinx a much better candidate for debate as to its origin.

Except the stunning lack of anything inside the Great Pyramid which would prove this-no mummy of Khufu, only one hieroglyph sentence instead of his entire story, no treasure, no sarcophagus, nothing. If he had it built during his reign, why wouldn't he have been buried in it? Why wouldn't his name be all over it?

while i agree to a point the thing is the sheathing stones are gone, which may have had more elaborate descriptions on them and even told the complete story, however, sadly, the pyramids were looted inside and out by the superstitious muslims and who knows who else, before we could even see them in all their glory...

so we will never know for sure what they looked like when they were completed...

with things like this i tend to lean towards a higher technological level than we give the ancients credit for, however odd and different methods from our own they may have used to achieve that high technology, and there is no telling for sure when they were actually built because they are stone...

on the other hand i will not discount some of the strange evidence of pyramids all over the world or the fact of this layout with certain features repeated strangely all over the world even in more modern structures that all point to the same celestial bodies...

does it mean aliens were involved? maybe, maybe not, whether directly or not the area points to the stars...

do i think they were little green men? probably not, i tend to lean more toward them looking a lot like us, bringing high technology, and over time or because of a widespread disaster humanity lost this knowledge and had to start over...some of it may have been passed down successfully, but not nearly to the degree it was before...

there are many mysteries in the world to solve, this is just one, but it does make you wonder...

as far as the papyrus goes, i should have stuck with learning hieroglyphics, but somehow the book i had was lost...meroitic would have been fun to learn too...Egyptian was such a descriptive and beautiful language to be exposed to...

wow

why do muslims get the blame for everything

if you want to talk about looting

persians were the first
then the greeks

parts of babylon was rebuilt with the casing stones

not to forget the tyranny of the Romans

muslims reused fallen stone from earthquakes... they also reused known religious spots

but you cant blame muslims for defacing tombs....

im going off some accounts from the time of the looting i read about and yes it was based off of superstition and they happened to be muslim...not to bash them, but they were muslim...and i also said who knows who else, which you answered, so i guess now we know more about it...

anyway, that was not the point...the point was the sheathing stones are gone...and whatever was carved on them is probably gone...
