ah, i neither saw or read about that, thanks.
interesting twist indeed.

as for the 'sillouette', they are standard and can be bought just about everywhere, including the link i provided previously.
shame on the media and the officer(s) who complained.

Dont forget to scroll down, to the video, and dont press play so you can get a good view at the target in question, and not the cut off one that shows as soon as you load the page. Its not the fact of the black hoodie, its why does it have to have skittles, and ice tea to go along with it?

If it was just a silloette without the tea and skittles then it would be OK.

But any fool can see that this target is meant to represent Trevon Martin.

Using a dead black child for target practice is despicable regardless of the outcome in the courts.

This kind of press also doesn't serve Mr. Zimmerman well.

thanks for that ... what a misrepresentation on all sides.
i'd even go so far as to bet the label "trayvon poster" is something the media created

having seen plenty of sillouettes, many of them having the same 'hoodie' element ... i really don't see any resemblance as implied

i didn't know the trainer created the poster and that shouldn't be permitted, however, a firing over this ?? nah, that just doesn't compute.

me thinks the Port Canaveral authority is caving to 'peer pressure'

sorry, can't view videos but thanks for the suggestion.
as for the shoot/don't shoot scenarios, they are all over the sites that sell paper targets.

the one linked previously features a female officer but not a male ... should the female officers cry foul ??

Factual evidence puts this little punk as a violent criminal. Officer should not be fired for anything.

I feel like a lot of people are missing the Az iced tea and skittles. We can, in fact quite fully drop all opinions that this is coincidental to Trayvon Martin. There is no denying the intended personage. When the story first broke, much media attention focused on the skittles and iced tea. Had it been Reece's pieces and a chocolate milk or a slushy and an edition of People magazine, ok, the argument would be harder to prove.

However, it is 100% impossible that an Orlando-area police officer just a year since the polemic who includes skittles is not specifically referring to the Martin case. Impossible.

This is just another case of Florida being Florida. It's the fun mix of people we have here.

Edit: So, the pic of the target posted here was not the same as the officer's who got fired?

I see now the article in my op has changed as well, when I posted this the article said a picture of trayvon in a white hoodie holding a bag of skittles and bottle of Arizona iced tea. It says none of that now

I found the pic in the op in another link to the same story and assumed (my bad) it was the right target.

sry for any confusion

mods please delete the pic in the op
