wmd you are probably right, except for maybe the possibility that whatever it is that is in the crater in the 6 year later HRSC pic just wasn't there in the 6 year earlier MOC pic. Now if we could just get an "untouched" current overflight pic, then we could know for sure! ) Or, where is the Rover when we need it?!!!!!

Well consider this the object the supposed trail comes from was in the first picture the trail/dust/shadow wasn't

HiRise will pass over at some point and take a picture of that area again hope it's soon.
