My purpose in writing this is not to disgust you with politics. My goal is to show you what kind of corporations and people will inevitably end up in positions of control, to illustrate that insiders must never be "trusted" when it comes to conducting elections. There can never be a place where counting votes in secret, or governmental snooping on how we voted, or hidden money behind campaigns, or hiding records on elections, can be accepted by the public, yet that is happening right now.

Before we go skipping down the road trusting any politician to know what's best for us regarding our own right to see and authenticate elections... Before we agree to some pie-in-the-sky idea that secret vote counting processes are safe because some company tested them... Before we accept the idea that some legislators can pass a law telling us we have to cede over our right to know... We need to understand that when it comes to elections, trust is childlike. It's wishful thinking. It's immature. It's not how the world works, and we owe it to our children to remember that.

Next time you hear that voting machines are reliable and safe "because they have been tested and certified," think of this important article, which reveals proven corruption, payoffs and bid-rigging connected to Ciber, Inc., a firm that signed off on our voting machines. Ciber's okay was the foundation for federal acceptance of voting machines all over the USA. A few weeks ago, I decided to examine electoral fraud from the other end. What happens if we start with known public corruption cases and work backwards to the intersection with elections? What I found were kickbacks and bid-rigging schemes in New Orleans and Pennsylvania which both connect back to Ciber, the firm that supposedly tested and then signed off on most of the U.S. voting machines currently in use in all fifty states, on behalf of the federal government. I learned of a now-admittedly corrupt government technology official who had placed, as one of his first priorities, setting up an Internet voting system. And while looking into money-laundering systems, the mechanism that provides the juice for such corruption, I learned of a particularly odious situation: a New York City Democrat who bribed New York City Republicans to help him run for Mayor (as a Republican). "You pull this off, you can have the house. I'll be a tenant," he said. As part of the New York deal, the bribe facilitator was to be appointed New York City Deputy Chief of Police when the would-be-mayor got into office.

But last month, a corruption investigation hit Ciber and its employee, Dennis Miller, listed as a Ciber vice president, and charged with bid-rigging, theft, and conspiracy. Criminal charges have been filed against eight current and former turnpike officials, employees and contractors. One of the whistleblowers in the case says $82 million in toll-payer funds have gone to or through Ciber.

During the last election cycle I followed and participated (in my own small way) and came away from the whole process thinking until as a nation can get an honest accounting of the votes cast then only the naive will believe the "will of the people" is truly represented by our elections. Dead voters coming back from the grave to cast a ballet,, multiple voting by Micky mouse all of which are just the tip of the proverbial ice berg etc etc.. All the stories we have heard and read are enough to make a caring person jaded to say the least! Good news Ciber (and a few politicians) got busted and are under the microscope of justice, so there are a few good investigators doing what they are supposed to do, rooting out the corrupt..

You sound guardedly hopeful. Let me slap that out of you: A couple of careless jackasses get caught and held up as an example--an example to the next bastard not to get caught so easily. The problem with voting machines will never go away as long as there are voting machines and insiders. Actually, you might as well say that the problems will never go away as long as there is voting and somebody has the keys to the machines and ballot boxes.

I've been saying for years that the problems do not lie in the voting, I don't care how many dead people and Mickey Mouses vote: The problem will always be in who's doing the counting....

Trying to be politically correct and end on a positive note in the post; sorry forgot where I was for a moment! Totally agree that those who count the electronic votes (Spain or where ever?) will always be able to effect the out come. But I am also glad to see someone caught with their hand in the cookie jar. We need wrong doing punished and the perps captured without a to big to jail card.!

Don't be foolish, these people are another ruse to take your eye off the real corruption. If you watched the 2012 election from 5PM to approx 9PM pacific time you should have been shocked.

If that did not do it then watch the 2014 election as the Dems retake the house and hold the senate....why do I believe this, I had no doubt Obama would win the 2012 election..........this is the way it is supposed to happen, after 75 years of prep and infiltration into the infrastructure of this country there is nothing that will stop the socialist/communist machine now..............there is simply no one left to fix it.

Again just my opinion.

Be careful talking about voting machines.
Just check out the thread I had.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

They deleted all my post and gave me warnings for posting. It was a Israeli American working for Jaded Security on a Department Of Homeland Security contract who hacked the database and got in trouble for posting all the information on the net. He got brought up on ethics charges for doing so and then burned his CISSP certificate to protest. I guess he felt his UN Hacking Certificate gave him the right to do what he did even if the US CISSP Certificate did not. He is still hacking computers for the Department of Homeland Security.

And Florida was not the only one he did that to. He hacked several states. The districts gave a generic password to the county election officers and none of them ever changed the generic passwords so anybody could simply access them by entering the first initial, last name and district number. And that was the computers that all data from the voting machines would be downloaded into and counted. And just remember there was no paper trail.

I am sure the 2012 election was rigged. If you payed attention to the polls, then to the actual results., it does not match up. I realize polls are a sample, I studied psychology in my undergrad. Even a sample has percentages they can be off. With a.0995 error margin some of the results were near impossible to come out the way they did. I am on my iPad at moment, but I will up load the maps of the pre and post election when I get home

You are right, soon you won't be able to talk like this, you will be defying the king.......WOW..... You have to wonder if people will see what is happening when the Dems regain the house and
hold the senate even as most talk show people (and even the dems) say it is impossiable to regain the house...............it won't matter, it will be to late once Obama has full reign again.

I truly hope I'm wrong. No one belived me when I said Obama would win the 2012 election, I could not find anyone that thought Obama would win reelection.

Not necessarily. Here in Hong Kong, at least, there are volunteers who overlook the counting, so they always count correctly. The manipulation always lies in the voting.
