Yes the US is insanely in debt. That doesnt have a thing to do with the fact that Kim is supposed to feed his people. It's not Obama's job to make sure I have food. Those people slave for very little money and they have to pay for food on top of it.

:bnghd:

The North Korean military is much more than your average American who wields weapons and exercises regularly.

We can't even defeat lowly Jihadist fighters in the Middle East...how on Earth are we going to defeat a well trained, well equipped army such as that from North Korea? We couldn't beat them last time...we couldn't defeat the North Vietnamese...and i am willing to bet that we probably can't defeat the North Korean Army in its current state...

Yeah, they are more than just civilians, they are soldiers who would fight to the death...

Most civilians untutored on military warfare doctrines would simply view a vast army with trepidation and fear. The naive Truman, who bungled the Korean mess back then which led to america's today, was one.

He was afraid of the million army of China, and presumed further war was futile when General MacArthur pushed the brutal NK army to the Yalu river, border of China, and thus, refused to give logistics supply to MacArthur, and further sacked america's greatest general - Ceasar Reborn MacArthur, for pushing all the way to the chinese border and demanding China stop supplying NK.

Comprehending the dissension in America, China seized the opportunity, crossed the border and push the ill supplied american and UN forces 35km south of Seoul.

General Ridgeway, a talented pentagon officer, was appointed the commander and did his work to building up the military from the suppliers - Pentagon. Eisenhower was elected President and then the military in SK was better armed.

Amongst the top military talents in SK then was General James Van Fleet of the 8th Army. He never feared the massive red army that swarmed like ants across the hills when they charged. Instead, he seized all the high grounds availiable, and from there, mount massive artilleries arrays well stocked with ammunition and waited for the red army whose supply lines had became far extended.

Where China use mass humans, General Fleet used cannon balls to lay waste to the amazingly ceasless waves after waves of red soldiers charging across the grounds. In time, the red army broke and fled, only to be pursued enmass by fighter bomber jets, decimating their ranks even further, never to return.

My point is this - its not the existance of a military you need to fear, but rather what it has. And that impoverished NK regime cannot match in terms of ammo supplies or tech that USA and SK have. Shoot stars are bright and fiery at the initial stage, but it fizzles out quickly.

The delulded NK vets and the young fatboy punk are insane if they think they can win this war. USA and SK is not looking for war, but only to defend themselves and an end to nuke proliferation, threats and terrorism to SK. There will be NO war if NK backs down on its senseless path as it will only bring pain and suffering to all NEEDLESSLY.

I disagree. A well trained military can outlast a military with powerful technology. We only need to look at history. The USA has always relied upon firepower and technology in warfare, but it has never got them anywhere in the end. Technology didn't win the Vietnam War, it was the training, and skills which the North possessed which led them to victory.

Solid strategies and training can beat technology any day, and that is why North Korea should not be underestimated. They may appear to be weak (in supplies and technology), but i assure you they are not so weak when it comes to strategy.

Gotta agree with a lot of what you said. The N. Koreans look to Kim Jong-un with cult like admiration and awe. They'd jump into a hot volcano if they thought it would make him happy. Their military is nothing to laugh at. They are Jong-un Zombies ....

The brainwashing that they would go through would be insane to the point that they would act the way you stated.

We only need to watch the videos of their military individuals interacting with Kim Jong-Un to see the brainwashing take affect. They just start crying uncontrollably and act strange. It is to be expected of course...it is North Korea

But yeah, they would rather die than see Kim Jong-Un removed from power.

Fatboy Kim and his cronies are fully dependent on Conventionabl Warfare, have little room for strategies, simply because their command and control had become far too complex for independent operations that strategy tactics would demand for success.

Hannibal's army was smaller compared to Rome when he launched the Punic Wars in 2nd century BC, upon Italy. Yet he succeeded in crushing the roman legions with strategy, simply because Hannibal was an intelligent general and used his forces effectively, against a dogmatically led roman army.

Fabius Maximus, ruler of Rome, then used a strategy that is now widely known as Fabian tactics, a war of attrition avoiding big set pieces battle confrontations, commonly known as guerilla warfare. He succeeded because Hannibal was an invader and had little support from the citizens of those lands he operated in.

The vietcong and NVA army used this strategy effectively against USA during Vietnam war, but it was not the cause for America's exist. Rather, it was POLITICS, that caused USA to walk out, the way POLITICS had caused the american and UN army in 1950 to withdraw back beyond Seoul.

Again, it was POLITICS that caused the quigmire in Iraq, as the military had long won the war. Yet again, Congress screwed up big time over WHO should rule over Iraq - Shias or Sunnis?

The only real failure of the American military was in Afghanistan. This time, they were Hannibal, and the taliban were Fabius using his strategy. Darth Vader Cheny was a fool if he thought that by pulling the balls of the taliban, their hearts and minds will follow.

You cannot fight ideology by bullets. Only truth and a better inclusive ideology can defeat radicalism such as those in Afghanistan, followed up citizen's adherence and support for the Rule of Law within the land, so that all are equal and protected.

Back to the topic:- Under conventional warfare, Fatboy kim has no more room to play strategy nor dares he do so for fear of losing control. Unconventional means will only give limited success, such as the radical militants around our world knows now, for they no longer have much support, and will cease to exist soon.

Even Political strategy will be a failure, as none within the security council will support him and had instead unanimously demanded he tone down, accept UN resolutions, end the nuke programme and feed his people,or else face the consequences. He have to be responsible if he wishes to share our world in peace.
