Called Mandella a terrorist, hated the poor, shut down manufacturing, used the media to demonize the poor, laid waste to any good, supported greed....

That's the sort of thing that closes threads and deservedly so.

Pathetic.

Simply, utterly disgusting and pathetic.

sick

Well next time I need to set my moral compass I'll come check with you first.

What exactly do you think a comment like that says about you as a person?.....you hope an 87 year old woman "died screaming"

What a disgusting statement

Margaret Thatcher may have made mistakes (council house right to buy scheme)..... but show me a politician that hasn't!.....but the fact that she was Britain's longest serving Prime Minister in over a century just goes to show that there are and where a hell of a lot of people that would disagree with you.

On the other hand maybe it speaks volumes about Thatcher.
I would say it's a pretty even split with people who loved and people who hated her and that split runs across the Midlands.

Given the depth of feeling that is running up and down the country, this has to be a contender for the 'Worst Idea Ever'.

Margaret Thatcher: Football chairmen call for minute's silence

And Reading chairman Madejski told BBC Radio 5 live: "We have got to appreciate that Margaret Thatcher was a world leader who did so much for this country. So much that she deserves a minute's silence.

Further down the article it is revealed that Madejski is a tory party donor.

He must be pushing for a knighthood.

According to your article,he has already licked enough butts and got a knighthood already.
I can hear the chant during it now-Maggie,Maggie,Maggie,dead,dead,dead.

Makes me laugh when USAers call us horrid and disgusting that many of us are glad she is dead when OBL died they too were celebrating someones death in the streets.
Many hate MT more than OBL in the UK, I think many USAers had no clue of what the majority of Brits thought about her.

And in that minute, I imagine many will sing "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead".

I do think that particular song is distasteful though, there's already a list as long as Michael Jacksons shopping list of songs inspired by hatred for her when she was alive.

But then I really cannot abide the Wizard of Oz.

Highly doubt it.
I've had a nose on the FB page though. It was a bit of an eyeopener to see how many ex pats and folk from other countries want to up it in the charts too.

...or on a similar vein.

Scotland 0 Thatcher...several dozen.

That's the thing that pisses us off. We lost out, big time.

Wow, that's a paradox if ever I've seen one.

'Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead' could reach number one following Margaret Thatcher's death

It's funny, and not funny at the same time.

Seriously, I really don't know much about Thatcher but seeing how many people hate her compared to like her, she probably wasn't a good person...

which brings me up to the hypocrites that say we shouldn't say anything bad about her because she's dead.

Although we should never celebrate the death of someone (OBL comes to mind), we also shouldn't excuse evilness because of death...especially if you weren't affected by the bad choices she made.

Looks like they are begging for a chorus of "DDTWID" so they can once again chide the footballing public for being worse than savages and create a little more division, if possible.

She did not die a violent death from assassination or accident. If she had, and it was celebrated, then I'd agree it would be over the top.

She died from natural causes at a ripe old age surrounded by luxury.

The suite, which would cost up to £3,660 a night, boasts 24 carat gold leaf and antique Louis XVI furnishings, and is the size of a small flat.

A peaceful suite at The Ritz, surrounded by her friends: Inside the hotel room where Baroness Thatcher died sitting reading in bed

Pensioners her age in the U.K. are lucky to die in comfort due to her polices let alone luxury.

Since indexation of state pensions to national average earnings link was removed in 1980 by the Thatcher government, the Basic State Pension (BSP) has declined from about 20% to about 15% of average earnings, one of the lowest state pensions in the OECD.

Unkindest Cuts: the impact on older people

Day after day, Obama Hate Threads appear on the hour every hour and are gleefully stared and flagged by the Rabid Right,

So before you jump on those that Survived the Thatcher years. Take a good long look in the mirror. Then perhaps pick up a Dictionary and look up the meaning of the word HYPOCRITE

Hated by who?

Bunch of people who were not even born yet?

Oh yeah that does send one hell of a "message".

Shows how out of touch the Thatcher supporters are to think that you had to have been born in her era to feel the impact of her actions.

Anyone who is politically educated, whether 15 or 88, detests this woman. I could probably go one further and say anyone with human decency fullstop, no matter their political understanding, dislikes this woman. She was cruel and vile and that much is obvious to anyone who isn't a sociopath or psychopath.

My step daughter who is 12 laughed when she heard Thatcher died. Her alcoholic dad who thinks leaving her at 9 years of age on the terraces of a premier league match told her she was bad.

And he was right.

Murdering innocent Argentinians. Supporting Pol Pot, training the Khmer Rouge, friends with Pinochet, reckoned the mujahideen are freedom fighters, etc etc

That's what I truly don't get. I can't grasp the support for her from the right wing when she backed, befriended and supported so many things the right claim to loathe, such as some of the characters and terrorist groups above.

and here's one of my favourites. Tony Benn, one of the best politicians the country has seen. Do you think he'll get the same worship from the media, nothing close to it. Shows how sick these psychopaths in power are
