As a star slut, (I give stars all over the place), I've never not been able to star a post except of course introductions and board forums. How is it that you are unable to star a post? Please explain.

Very strange, never happens to me. Were you contacted by a mod saying you can't star that post or something?

See I just did it to your post and this is the message that came up.

No, I haven't received any other communication from anyone? Just that message.

As I say I get it all the time, not all the time, just 1 out of 10 times maybe??

I don't have an answer to the OP, but I thought I'd throw my question in here because they are nearly identical.

I have been seeing posts with a tilde ~ in the place of where the stars would normally be. Is that signifying something?

That means the member is banned I think.

It's usually because the thread was deleted by admin before you hit the send or refresh button. Happens all the time.

Peace

Hmmm thanks, but I think in this case that may not be the correct answer as I have given a few stars out in this "existing" post and still the same message appears? Odd hey? Even when I have tried to star your post then.

Thanks all the same, it must just be me!!!

But if it just happened in this thread like the OP says;

See I just did it to your post and this is the message that came up.

Then what?

If that's the case then we have a true glitch...or conspiracy?

Maybe contact admin or post in the board forum.

Peace

First, clean out your browser cache with something like ccleaner. You can get it here.
Now try it again.

Also, make sure Java and Adobe Flash are both current.

Lastly, try a different browser, and see if it does the same thing.

S&F they both worked.

One thing I have seen is when I star people, the star will add to their post. But their counter won't move.

BTW I pass out stars like there is a infinite amount of them.

Wait a minute there are.

Oh Yeah? Where's my star for posting in your "reply with a song thread"?

Just kidding, love your music threads by the way.

Sounds like you are getting message after refreshing the page.

When the last action you did was star a post, you are refreshing the action of starring the post.

The error message you see is because refreshing tried to add a second star, which you can not do.

If you look at the address in the address bar you will see "&addstar=1&on=123456789#pid123456789"

If you erase that part and press enter, you will refresh the thread without attempting to add a second star
