Ran it through Shazam... no identification

Ran it through Tunatic... no identification

Looked up the radio station to see if it was in fact a radio station and it is, in fact real.WKCR-FM

It plays what is termed "alternative" jazz currently. So who knows if this is a fake or something.

The girl does sound like she is reading off obituaries (a different person between bells) and if I could nail down a name (she speaks too fast for me) I'd go that route of searching.

Hoax? To me a coin toss...

EDIT: Interesting factoid about the station. It was the very first station to broadcast (Radio or TV) from the World Trade Center.

Although this was a pretty good job, it is not hard at all to debunk. The big giveaway is that the delay effects (echoes) are not affected by the degradation of the tape.
