From The Australian: PM re-election 'threat to Indonesia'
A HARDLINE Islamic magazine has warned that Australian Prime Minister John Howard's re-election poses a threat to Indonesia and accuses Canberra of harbouring a long-term aim to dominate South-East Asia.
Sabili (The Path) magazine, distributed mostly in mosques, warned Indonesia's newly elected President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono that he must be ready to "pull the ear" of Australia if the Howard Government continued its aggressive approach.
And Australia would only be emboldened if the Bush administration was returned in Washington, it said.
Dr Yudhoyono told the Bulletin magazine today he would never allow Australia to make a pre-emptive strike against terrorists on Indonesian soil or station troops in the sprawling archipelago.
