Ok, so I apologize if this sounds stupid, did they even have the tech to record to tape at that time?

Another example of erasing tapes to reuse them is that the BBC erased all of the original Doctor Who episodes of the 1960's. That is even more tragic.

I can't see how anyone could consider that as useful proof. It might just as well be a picture of a '57 chevy on a lunar movie set for all the detail available.

I think we all know why

Top half taken by Apollo 17 crew as they left the Moon
Bottom half from the LRO taken 40 years later.
Even the tracks match!!!

Now because the LRO cameras are 50 cm /pixel resolution or even 26 cm/pixel on low orbits you can match VERY small features seen on the pictures the Astronauts took on the surface.

You can also check distances between objects as they are documented as well

Stinky old NASA and their massive swamp of lies.

You guys are funny. You can see foot tracks left by the astronauts, and the double tracks from the LRV they were driving around. The descent stages can be made out fairly well on different photos, which were taken at different sun angles. Many rocks and craters seen in Apollo photos can be matched to those seen in LRO photos.

Hmmm, I see that, but they look kind of bulky, and it was quite expensive to transport weight from Earth to orbit, and on to the Moon.

The technology of today I could see very easily being used, but back then, I don't think it was quite so easy.

Of course they have video. How else do you think it was possible to broadcast live from the Moon? You can't do that with film. They mostly used video, but they also have some 16mm film with the DAC, but that was much more limited.

On the Moon, they had the TV cameras. The video signal was transmitted to Earth, where it was recorded.

The "matching features" were taken by Apollo moon rovers, not by men on the moon.
