Hello fellow ATS, I rarely write on your website but oh boy am I a lurker

I just have a handful of words I need to let out.. things don’t seem right to me lately. Ever since last march.. (The fukushima fallout) Maybe it was a mental break, or a mental healing.. im not quite sure lol.

But I look around and all I see is chaos, why are we letting people control us like this? Our wages are getting smaller while taxes go up.. the government sucks us dry and for what?! Isn’t slavery in our global rights, and we are clearly slaves for whoever is on top. Im so fed up with all these ties on us.. when really we need to learn to just fend for ourselves.

OR better yet start working together.. start talking about this elephant in the room in public, bring it to peoples attention. I feel like im going to lose it, we have all the technology in the world to help each other out. Why are we working jobs that machines can do for us? While we could go out and pursue real knowledge and things that actually interest you?

What do you ats'ers do to make a difference? I feel so trapped!

And ill leave my weird rant/thread with a question..
How are all you guys feeling lately about where we currently stand? With Life.

Please forgive me, but I'm in a bit of a silly mood.

I can say I'm all for it. Life is the best. I much prefer it over it's competitors.

Back to serious. I think it's fairly simple. Do we want to be slaves or citizens? As we found in the last election, we would rather be slaves to a master who will provide us with the things we want. That master blames evil on outsiders which encourages us to gather closer around our master for protection. The master says he will protect, feed, educate, and house us if we just don't go to those evil outsiders.

"Fend for ourselves?" When we have a master to take care of us?

All you have to do is persuade people to be citizens rather than slaves, to choose not to be dependent.

My thoughts: We as a species are a virus upon the earth, not only taking more than we put back but hurting the environment. I don't see an end to this very soon without some sort of divine/greater help, people who have been making sure this continues have been working behind the scenes most likely before most of us were born so i doubt it will be undone by any of us, the system is branded into us and has way too many failsafes for us to change it without creating total and grand chaos so perhaps nuclear annihilation would not be the worst thing if you look at it in the big picture. It takes great misery and pain to understand what we have, the past 2 WW dident do it, maybe this one will be bad enough to wake people up. We have created a very crappy place for people to live, and if you don't see it that way then you are either turning a blind eye willingly or you simply don't care about other people.

Better start watching for blacked out glass cars around your house. The people running this thing want us to be arguing because if we are arguing amongst ourselves, we aren't looking at what is really happening. Our country hasn't been in this bad shape financially for a real long time. They try to tell us it is improving and we can't see the whole picture. I can see the whole picture, including the deceit that is grown to crazy proportions. So the people in charge took the wrong advise, failing to listen to some experts that were conservative and sided with fast and fake economic growth. How can a country grow when it exports it's money. S&F for waking up

Goodnight.

Too many people are content to live in the bubble, so content that they refuse to see the truth even when it is placed out in front of them on a silver platter. Too many people are content to believe that it is all predestined to become bad and they will be saved by the return of their creator who will get rid of the "bad guys".

How do I feel about life? Life to me is purpose and that purpose to me is my children.I will raise them to be ethical, informed, compassionate human beings and do all that is in my power to help them into the world they step into.

Why are we working jobs that machines can do for us?

I'd like to comment on this, if I may. From my standpoint, an economy is about circulating money from one hand to the next. The way to get money is to work. So, my question would be why are machine doing jobs that humans can do? The way it is right now, more and more money is finding its way into fewer and fewer hands, thanks to automated machines doing the work of ten people with only the owners of businesses reaping the profit. This is not a good thing.

People in the Conspiracy community tend to only see negatives after a while, and you really have to be careful to not loose your objectivity about it.

Think about this. Do you think that the world as a whole is better off now in 2013 than for example in 1985? Or 1995?

Yes, it is. And by quite a margin.

So, the way you feel is real, but the reality you are experiencing is not. Is is a contorted version of reality, that really can make you depressed over time.

Again, honestly be careful about this and look at a few positive things.

Greetings,
I KNOW I have seen enough abuse from this government to it's hard working class. Being a teen during the 70's, I've seen what mass riots or even peaceful protests did. Yet I would still participate, till then I am escaping to a different lifestyle. I am selling my home and possessions and buying a sailboat to live on. It's cheaper that living on land, my husband and I have researched this way of life for three years now. I lost my job a few months ago, had electricity shut off, eating Ramon noodles and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches mostly. After working 40 years, no credit card debt, here we are. I've been waiting two months to get my 401k money, then off we go. If I'm gonna be poor, I can be poor just as easy sailing the tropics.

I would love to see a country or maybe just a colony or community where people have containers for homes, solar panels for electricity, food growing nearby, purified rain water and some drainage systems. Maybe simple transportation like bicycles, an internet connection to discuss or just talk with eachother.

How many days would one citizen need to work? Maybe two days, saving money for replacing hardware like the solar panels every 20-30 years, just as computers or refrigurators/washing machines which might break down overtime due to wear and tear and need to be replaced.

Less chances for accidents like in traffic. Maybe each citizen would be healthier because of a whole lot less stress, healthier living altogether. People could learn about psychology and spirituality, religion and sciences to understand common problems instead of learning how to live with it or depend on a few specialists who seldom have experienced the problems themselves firsthand and just write out prescription drugs.

Ofcourse this is not going to happen or is unlikely. All lands have been taken and distributed, I don't believe there is a stretch of land out there which isn't claimed and has to be bought from someone to live or has some law in effect preventing people to live there. Also people have invested in towns and the infrastructure, abandoning it would mean losing investments or expected returns.

How about a city where machines do everything; take out the trash, plant seeds and harvest food, then process it and deliver it to your home. Machines which would do maintenance, machines driving people around recharging through renewable power. Machines making clothes and appliances, other stuff people so desperately need to get by. Machines mining iron or recycling steel to make new machines, all automated with just a few people to oversee the processes.

Maybe people just need to let go of the idea of raising a family like it is the only way and everybody is supposed to raise children. It's not nice perhaps but that is imho the way it is going to be; I'm 34 and it's just too expensive to start a family of my own with debts. I could but I don't want to because I'm just too unsure whether my children will have a decent life instead of having to work for those few who get all the money and everything which comes along with it.
